For this Wednesday Walk Challenge organized by @tattoodjay, I'm going to take you to the ski resort of Mont Orford. It's true that in winter, I'm more Wednesday Ski Challenge 😀. These are a some photos taken this Tuesday because today the temperatures have risen well above 0C (32F), with rain. Not ideal for skiing. Hopefully this Thursday it will be better 🤞.
Pour ce Wednesday Walk Challenge organisé par @tattoodjay, je vais vous amener à la station du ski du Mont Orford. Il est vrai qu'en hiver, je suis plus Wednesday Ski Challenge 😀. Il s'agit de quelques photos prises ce mardi car aujourd'hui les températures sont bien remontées, au dessus de 0, avec de la pluie. Ce n'est pas idéal pour skier. J'espère que ce jeudi cela sera meilleur.

The ski resort Mont Orford is located near the town of Magog in the Eastern Townships, about 1h30 east of Montreal by car. The 853-metre-high (2,799 ft) mountain is a great place for skiing, with a variety of trails from easy to difficult, somes between trees and somes with bumps. Perfect for slide enthusiasts.

La station du ski Mont Orford se trouve tout près de la villle Magog dans les Cantons de l'Est, à environ 1h30 de voiture à l'est de Montréal. La montagne , haute de 853 mètres, est intéressante pour le ski avec une variété de pistes, de facile à difficile, avec des sous-bois et des bosses. Parfait pour les amateurs de glisse.

I'm going to try and show you the Mont Orford ski resort. Tuesday started out sunny, but gradually the weather turned grey. You can see Mount Orford, with the gondola arriving at its summit and the communications antennas a little way off. A really pretty view with the white snow.
Je vais essayer de vous faire découvrir cette station du Mont Orford. Le début de la journée de mardi était ensoleillé mais peu à peu, le temps est devenu gris. On peut apercevoir le Mont Orford avec à son sommet l'arrivée de la gondole et un peu loin les antennes de communication. Vraiment une jolie vue avec la neige.
The resort offers different runs for all levels, including an easy run of around 4 km, the longest. There are 4 chairlifts for visiting the different sectors. But as it's Quebec's spring break, there's a lot of waiting around. Fortunately, on the slopes, it's pretty quiet, as you can see.
La station propose différentes pistes pour tous les niveaux dont une piste facile d'environ 4 km, la plus longue. Il y a 4 télésièges permettant de visiter les différents secteurs. Mais comme au Québec, il s'agit des vacances de la Relâche, il y a beaucoup d'attente. Heureusemet sur les pistes, c'est assez tranquille comme vous pouvez le constater.
At the bottom of the station, there were quite a few people. It was a long wait to get back on the top of the mountain. At midday, it was also quite a challenge to find a table to eat a sandwich and regain our strength before facing the snow that was starting to fall.
En bas de la station, il y avait pas mal de monde. L'attente était un peu longue pour remonter. A midi, cela fut tout un challenge pour trouver une table pour manger un sandwich et reprendre des forces pour repartir affronter la neige qui commençait à tomber.
Not many people on the slopes and even in the trail between the trees, there were still places where you could ski in powder. It's really cool when you can make your own tracks in the fresh snow.
Pas grand monde sur les pistes et même dans les sous-bois, il y avait encore des endroits où on pouvait skier dans la poudreuse. C'est vraiment cool quand on peut faire ses propres traces dans le manteau neigeux.

Yep the weather was better today. Not too much rain but a lot of wind, so only one chairlift opened... luckily there weren't many people, so we were able to enjoy it.
