Hands a feature that make us recognizably human. It can be offered, friendship, help and comfort.
This is one of the essential experiences of being human, the warmth of another's hand.
In our world, where technology is increasingly breaking direct human contact, in the name of convenience, we are being isolated and dehumanized, as a unit, a number, and disposable.
Technology will never replace the warmth and presence of another human being.
These are some of the thoughts turning over in my mind in recent times, given the discussion around AI. I'm not one to avoid technology, yet I see others becoming hypnotized with the latest shiny toy, without any serious thought to the consequences of not apply some caution.
We must keep sight of what makes us human, to not do so, is to invite destruction.
To embrace our humanity, is what makes us alive.

Genial.Simplemente.
Thank you!
You're such a great study in how to do skin toning XP
I spend way too much time trying to figure out how you use colour
This reminds me @fermentedphil was asking for advice on drawing hands on a piece they did with hands.
I find hands really hard but I don't know whether it's because of how they articulate or whether it's because of what I remember someone saying before about how hands and faces are the hardest things to get to look right/good because they're the things we tend to look at the most. And you can read so much into a hand pose too XD
The easiest starting point for skin tones is keep your palette to a minimum. Have a look at my Zorn Palette post again. This limited selection is a good starting point for skin tones. But there's a few other things that come into play, the most important being desaturation.
I find hands really hard
So does AI software it would seem. 😀

To an extent, this correct. Anyone, even if they can't draw and paint, are experts on how such features should look, because we look at them each day.
However, if you learn the fundamental skill of accurate observation, "seeing", it does not matter what the subject is, a face, hands, figure, flowers, animals, landscapes, ect. you will be able to render them faithfully from a reference.
Drawing purely from imagination is another thing again, and requires even more practice.
I am glad that I am not the only one struggling with them! 😅
Simply amazing!
Amazing as usual! Can't wait to get back to painting traditionally
What paints are you using? I'm curious
Thank you Leia!
I work in oils, the brands vary, I'm more interested in the colour than the brand so I have my favourites from a few.

Your paints are calling you! 😀
Thank you!
I started a journey with acrylics some time ago, and since I discovered 'Golden' paints I'm obsessed with their quality. A game-changer for me
Have a pleasant day, and thanks a lot for pushing me toward an action
A friend of mine, who is an acrylic artist swears by Golden acrylics. I'll spend money on oils, but I'm cheap when it comes to acrylics.
I'm happy to hear you are motivated. Get to it! I'm on the easel tonight myself.
Awesome! It looks and feels natural, something that a lot drawings and paintings of hands miss, and you nailed. Nice work!
Thank you! It is my own hand, so I have plenty of time to study it. I guess you could say, I know it like the back of my own hand. 😃
That is one incredible hand! Love the details and shape of it, and your studio!!!!!
Thank you Andres!
