RE: Cunning, hedonistic & manipulative - say Hi! to Baron Vladimir Harkonnen || FanArt

I look, read, vote and never say anything; this time I am :)

I really am enjoying your drawings. Facinating read here. The angle of the figure kept hitting me throughout this. Pretty intense and works so well in theme. What can I say? Your drawings are of the highest quality, no exceptions. Not only that, they have "life".

One question for you....

Why is dill the worst?

Sort:

Why is dill the worst?

Have you come to arrive and be a part of the dill hating corps? We don't have membership cards, or any organised structure, but we are united by one thing: the hatred of dill.

Have you come to arrive and be a part of the dill hating corps?

I was writing out a response when everything went black. I don't know what happened but I came to crammed between long fleshy bodies inside some sort of ceramic container, floating and fighting off strange seaweed in this salty solution that stunk of dill. Barely any oxygen. Dark and dank. My body was all rubbery, seemingly going through an unknown mutative process.

No idea how long I was out before I woke up. I had to bite into things I'd rather not mention in the process of fighting my way to the top for air, only to bash head first into some weighty thing that knocked me out. Came to again, wore my claws down to the quick scrabbling to move what turned out to be a stone weighted covering a crack to slip out through. Had to slide my way home. Brine coating useful for something other than pickling me.

Dill army got me, attempted pickling. I have no idea how many people they've done this to. Too many jars to count. I only just escaped. There's still brine in every orfice.

I see why the hatred of dill. Dill can even read thoughts.

I'm scared now.

Your brush with death will not be forgotten.

Counter dill operation needs to be mounted. There never were aliens snatching people, it's been dill the whole time.

The dill people under the city

How did you know?! The city I live in is completely hollow underground with underground rivers. Supposedly there are portals. Dimensions of dill timelines.

Dimensions of Dill sounds like a RPG-horror game.

Your hardships will be remembered and rewarded!

You must always be fully aware of the great danger from the servants of the Dill the Monster.

😂 This is where I mention that I can be absolutely ridiculously silly. There is a jar of homemade dill pickles on my kitchen counter (not mine), which is how I got the idea to write that silly dillness.

You must always be fully aware of the great danger from the servants of the Dill the Monster.

It's this kind of thing that just feeds my outrageous imagination, too funny!

And the story was exquisite! Hail to the Jar of Imagination!

Hahaha, thanks! I always have the passing thought of, hmmmm...hope this isn't too weird combined with a big jar of Oh Well.

Oh no, not at all. I really liked it!

we are united by one thing: the hatred of dill.

But we have soooo many ideas for uniforms, warning labels for dill etc, etc...

Now I really want membership card!!! Damn! Since I started all this, I probably should some up with some ideas, right?

I don't have room in my wallet for another card :(

What a nonsense! Get new wallet!

Maybe it should be a dill hating brand instead of a card? More efficient than printing cards, I think, and easier to identify allies.

I like that! Let this idea simmer. I will come up with something :)

I am sooo happy you took the time to comment @nineclaws!

I noticed your presence despite the lack of words early on and I really appreciate it! I am not gonna say that, action means more than words, because I figured - on hive is slightly different:)

The angle of the figure kept hitting me throughout this.

I am glad you see this, it really difficult perspective to get it right, and I really wanted Baron look 'above and beyond' everybody, in dignified but somewhat selfish manner:)

Ah dill... Thinking of setting up hate-dill community, because for now 'WE' operate in grey area 😁 The most devoted member @holoz0r and my trusted ally working relentlessly to spread our message:

Dill is an abomination among plants and among all spices! It is an evil being created to destroy your tasted buds and all joy of eating a food'!

Our archenemy is @dreemsteem :)
If you still not terrified enough, here you can see Dill-Monster, by curtesy of @holoz0r and AI:)

Dill Monster

lolol I just saw a recipe last night and this dip looked so good, and I was watching her create whatever was going into the dip, and then she showed dill and I BUSTED UP laughing!!!!!! I might have to make it in honor of your and holoz0r 🤣🤣🤣

p.s.

@holoz0r .... my son just accidentally ate the three hottest peppers in the world...

sooooo far beyond Ghost peppers 🔥☠️ lololol

I posted is last night in comedy open mic if you want to check it out...it's kinda long so just skip down to the end to hear what happened 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I'm about to collapse into bed, could you please reply with a link and I will look at it in the morning when I succumb to consciousness once more?

I am glad that our pain is some sort of amusement for you @dreemsteem ! 🤣🤣🤣

Ghost peppers... nasty, I have to check this out!

Ghost peppers are tasty, not nasty. The best tasting pepper though is Scotch Bonnet. It's got incredible flavour!

They drink this ghost pepper sauce... and I can't even handle a dot on my tongue of it... lololol

but the three hottest peppers... nope...nope... it was too much for him

and yet..... (I won't spoil the ending) 😂

hahahahahhahaa

it's just so gooooood!!!! and brightens up so many dishes with it's lemony herbal flavor!!!

you guys are missing some gene on your tongue! lol. @holoz0r probably burned his off with fire peppers 🌶️ Hahahahahahhahaha

but if you want to talk about TRUE pain (that was only funny in the retelling....I would have cried for him if I witnessed it with my own eyes...but he is so funny when he tells stories!! lol) then...yep...the post. lol

it's just so gooooood!!!! and brightens up so many dishes with it's lemony herbal flavor!!!

yeah... NOOOOOOOO!

Our gens are quite alright, and in this very sense - superior ones 🤣 🙃

And I'm so, so, so just coming back to life after an army of dill took me out. Please see my detailed explanation in another comment on your post.

You're quite welcome. I used to comment much more quite a while back, but my personal circumstances have changed so that I have a lot less time and energy at my disposal.

Definitely difficult perspective to get and you nailed it completely. This one is still stuck in my mind.

All of that about dill is just cracking me right up! A dill monster by @holoz0r! That's too funny. That's a lot of orange, those teeth and that solitary eyeball....creeeeeepy. Now I have a better vision of what grabbed me.

Dill is an abomination among plants and among all spices! It is an evil being created to destroy your tasted buds and all joy of eating a food'!

I need more details on how it destroys taste buds and joy of eating a food. This is just so funny. It brings me to another question...

Where do you and @holoz0r stand when it comes to cilantro? Also, hot peppers?

Didn't mean to be so slow in answering, ongoing personal stuff that needs my attention and interrupts all else.

Hot peppers are my religion. I eat hot sauce al day, every day. It is one of my favourite things and belongs on everything. Even ice cream.

Cilantro serves no real purpose in terms of flavour.

Hot peppers are my religion.

Never have I heard hot peppers described in this manner. I'd send you some of the ghost pepper extraction I made recently but it won't make it through customs. Hot peppers and ice cream....hmmmmm...now there's a thought and something I've not tried. How would you do hot peppers and ice cream together?

Cilantro serves no real purpose in terms of flavour.

Points for not saying it tastes like soap.

Scorpion is about my baseline.

You don't even need anything super spicy for ice cream. Just crack some black table pepper on top of vanilla ice cream. It's a fantastic contrast in flavours.

I've eaten ghost pepper, way too much accidentally. Took over four months to heal my digestive system. I could tell what areas it most hit. Interesting experience I don't want to repeat. Ghost pepper is excellent as a topical pain killer and muscle relaxant.

I never thought of adding black pepper to vanilla ice cream, that's cool. I'll have to try it. Have you tried blueberry with basil? (in ice cream specifically).

I feel the pain from just reading this. A lesson for life! I have never had ghost peppers, although I had plans to try. I actually need to rethink tis one :D

You are indeed man of great extremes :) I cannot really eat proper ice creams, but I really like dark chocolate with chili.

Back when I drank, Chilli Chocolate Liqueur was a common vice. I never actually purchased a bottle, but I'd always seek it out when out drinking. Last drink was October last year, I've saved so much time! :) Plus, I can always and constantly drive as a result!

No worries at all!. It is great you have find little bit of time to leave a comment!
I am glad you liked this one, I am working on Alia atm, I should be able to post it today:)

I love hot peppers, but not with a religious @holoz0r devotion. I simply love how the capsaicin affect my moods!

Cilantro, eh? I will not say it taste like soap, although fresh one certainly has some soapy aftertaste. I can find it useful in thai food, but I think it can be easily replaced:)

I'll look for Alia. All of your drawings are so well done. A great deal of practice is evident, traditional stuff with all that anatomy. I have such a weakness for this kind of art. Then the way you evolve it beyond that in these stages, it's quite fascinating to observe and study.

Religious pepper devotion, ha! Well, I can't argue with @holoz0r on that one since I'm pretty much of the same mind, no matter how much I've been burnt by peppers. I forgot about the mood effect! You're so right, it's wonderful.

So fresh cilantro tastes a bit soapy to you. I think it's dependent on a person's body chemistry as to how it tastes, or something like that. I've been asking people for years to figure this out. Thai food...YUM. It can be switched out easily. I like the taste a lot, but most especially the medicinal benefits of fresh cilantro.

I forgot to add chilli to my breakfast this morning (though, that was just a protein shake) - why don't these companies make chilli flavoured products for spice heads like myself?

I have extra hot cayenne powder in my, um, breakfast of green sludge, let's pretend it's a protein shake since it's got chia seeds in it.

why don't these companies make chilli flavoured products for spice heads like myself?

Because they suck. Make your own custom blend, then you always get what you want the way you want it, when you want it, how you want it, where you want it.

Green sludge breakfast is the best. The liquids that are black truly disturb me. I believe people call it coffee.

I just added in post with Alia's drawing study here

To be fair - I still feel I am out of practice. After academy I work in art-related places, but I hardly ever draw. And now, being bit older - I just started to miss it a lot.
I see some progress since I picked up pencil again, but there is plenty work ahead of me:)

Religious pepper devotion(...)

There you go - one man has found his match! :)

Oh, about cilantro - I actually eat it only because its healthy benefit too. I actually have read few medical publications, that it can even help to get rid of lead from your body and other heavy metals.
Not sure I believe in this, but why not increase my odds;)

Why would you want to get rid of heavy metals? Best music that there is!

I hope that's not the only flavour of music in your sound library.

Indeed!
"Keep your distance, walk away, don't take his bait.
Don't you stray, don't fade away.
Watch your step, he's out to get you, come what may.
Don't you stray, from the narrow way"🤟

I just finished drooling over her and writing a book comment.

It can feel like that when away from it. All the skills stay, it's just a matter of getting back in the flow again. It can be daunting, but, at the same time, it's obvious you've put a great deal of practice in prior to being away from it for a long while.

It was drilled into me to take a sketchbook with me everywhere, so much so it became an automatic practice to this day.

sings an ode of devotion to peppers, then moves on....

You're right about cilantro. Paired with chlorella, the both of them work as a team to remove heavy metals from the body. One bonds, the other carries it out of the body. I forget which does which.

I just finished drooling over her and writing a book comment.

That's probably the best compliment I've ever gotten about my drawings. Thank you @nineclaws!

Yeah, practice is everything. You can be incredibly talented, but without practice it will all go to nothing.
What I am talking about is closer to muscle memory. I want to train my hands and eyes so that I don't have to think about how to draw but what I am drawing. So that my focus is completely on my subject and not on whether the hand should be drawn at this or that angle in order to make anatomical sense. That's why I returned to basics, like anatomy, so to up my skills to the point, my drawing become organic and natural, not 'practice' or 'training'. Does that make any sense?

Sketchbook should be always with you, never know what will be worth to capture on your way! That is a good habit!

It's just great. I honestly didn't expect my hate of dill will escalate to existential conversations and cult status 😀
Good go for extremes sometimes:)

There you go! I was missing some chemistry mystery sense there, that what was what gave me some doubt's about it. Thank you very much! This way I know I am not torturing myself for nothing:)

Thought what I saw in the post was cool, but then I saw I this dude and I was all like, "Do I know him?"

NoNamesLeftToUse - unt1.png

Close. Maybe they're cousins.

They are certainly very close relatives! Look into those eyes!
Thank you for visit!

That whole family's a mess.

Thanks for doing what you do. Had a look and like your style. Doing the whole follow thing and I'll see you around.

That whole family's a mess.

Indeed:)

My pleasure! I am glad you liked, what you saw:)
Thank you for you vote! See you around!
