Day 854 #Freewrite - Eye Witness

The prompt for today from @mariannewest was "eye-witness".

Here is what came from the prompt:

Eyewitness

Octo watched as their bodies crashed together in ferociousness. He felt that he was a set of unwelcome eyes, or, eyes not meant to be there as Virgil wrapped his fingers in Sylvia’s hair and ran a hand across her cheek, down her neck and collarbone.

Then what looked like a push away from him, as though he needed distance in the same moment that he was trying to savor it. His eyes opened and he pulled back from her. For a moment, he could not tell if he read disgust on Virgil’s face, or whatever it was.

But it was not happiness, or not so far as Octo read, and in that, he found a glimmer of happiness. Whatever pain or torture had spread across his face in an instant of repulsion gave me life, whispered into me its many secrets of sustenance and told me, rejuvenating, that it would all be alright.

But e looked up at the ghostly figure, the one that haunted his, the one that visited every family member on his lineage that suffered the same fate on dawn of the death of their love, and he knew it wouldn’t be so. He would take everything from and and from that he would rebuild the essence of who he was, the essence that was such magnificence and majesty that he would become the progenitor of life, of light.

Thank you for reading my work. I appreciate your time and comments.

To speak more of my writing ambitions, I am looking to strengthen my creative/generative acumen. This #freewrite community is the best place to do that. Over the next several months I will be working on a novel, and as such, some themes or characters that I have dwelt upon may come up. Thoughts and comments on my work are helpful as my ultimate goal is to improve my novel such that I improve my writing.

Well written @aceaeterna, and it seems like this very interesting story is part of a bigger story, but nice to read on it's own too, it's awesome.
