It's Dailyprompt "I need this"
This he spoke while it was rainy and stormy and night and I am Mia and I was sitting by the window looking at the light. She mumbled to herself, “I need this – at least a little peace.” The week that had just passed had left her exhausted. At once the door opened with a gentle knock at the door. Taken aback she opened the door to find her friend from the past, Jake standing with a cup of hot coffee in his hand.
“You know that you would need this,” he said and smiled.
Mia’s eyes welled up. “I do. I need this.”
She joined him and they took coffee more as the rain poured outside like it has never done before. His presence warmed the emptiness she had been feeling inside. In that instance, she often found out that all one needs in life is an ally.
