The beginning of the monsoon season was magnificent as people looked forward it and at the same time, they were relieved with it. The cursed beads of the hot summer this year finally gave the dirty earth a warm and loving shower. People of the village rejoiced and danced because they know they no longer have to wait anymore. However, as days went by, rains started to fail periodically and their effects camp in the form of dry fields and concerned farmers. They called it the dry rain , the last rainy Kyiv had to endure which does not appear to wet the earth at all. Nevertheless, the clouds looked as if they had reneged on that once solemn pledge, the monsoon lacking its usual oomph as it limped into the wet-Indian summer.
