I met him on my trip to Greece. That was a period of introspection for me. It was a time when I was second-guessing everything I once believed.
As a travel blogger, fate seemed to be having the time of its life by leading me to a place where people breathed faith like air. Fate interfered with my faith, as if it knew it had been months since I last stepped into a church, years since I had truly believed.
That was the day I met my favorite monk, who also happens to be the only monk I know.
This monk wasn’t what I expected. But somehow, without pressure or expectation, he made me remember the quiet beauty of faith.
Though I wouldn’t say I’ve figured everything out now, I’m beginning to see the beauty around me once again.
It might take a while, but the influence of my favorite monk has set me on the right path.
