What i see here is a picture of children looking at some Easter eggs in a basket in anticipation of what they might get when they choose one of the Easter eggs.
I feel they are so young and can be chosen for, anything like candy or little toy will be cool bit i like the way they had been left alone to chose for themselves despite their age.
This Easter eggs reminds me of a story that i was told by my grandparents, the story goes thus;
In a quiet village tucked between olive hills, Easter was the most magical time of the year. Children would run around on the grass and gardens searching for colorful eggs hidden by the Easter peacock herself—or so they were told from folk tales.
But this year, things happened differently.
Lucy, a curious pre-teen girl with a wild imagination, found a glittering egg nestled beneath a green garden before the ocean bank. Unlike the others, this egg wasn’t painted—it shimmered with a soft golden light and felt warm in her hand.
She turned to show her friends, but the moment she spoke, the egg cracked open as if it had been waiting to hear her speak.
Out fluttered a tiny peacock, not just any peacock, but one with wings made of petals and gold with eyes that sparkled like stars.

"Thank you for finding me," said the little creature. "I’m Igbayi, the Guardian of Spring. Long ago, I was trapped in that egg for protection of the magic of the season."
Lucy gasped. "Are you for real?".......
Igbayi nodded. "And because you found me with a kind heart, you’ve been chosen to help me bring spring back to the world."
From that day on, wherever Lucy walked, flowers bloomed. Trees whispered her name in the breeze, butterfies fly around her in appreciation and birds followed her with joyful songs. Easter had gifted her something more than candy or toys—it had given her a secret purpose and a magical friend.
And in that village, spring was always a little brighter as far as Lucy and Igbayi her mysterious friend are present.
Thanks for reading till the end.
This story leaves me with such adventurous and interesting imagination, letting my mind think and imagine the scenarios like the cartoons I watched as a kid.
How fortunate for Lucy to be blessed with such magical gift.
I bet she found not just a magical gidt but a friend,a playmate and pal, making magical memories together.
This was a nice story your grandparents told you and it's interesting to see it match the photo described here.
Spring is beautiful, you have to bloom, cool
Thanks
