An "acid bath" refers to a container holding a concentrated acid solution used for cleaning glassware, plastic, ceramic, and other non-metal objects, but not metal objects, which would corrode. Link

An acid bath is a suitable container that holds up to several liters of concentrated acid that is used for cleaning glassware, plastic, and ceramic objects. Metal objects such as tweezers, spatulas, and stirring bars should never be placed in the acid bath as they will corrode. Link

I thought the acid bath talks about bathing with acid, but seeing the meaning I was enlightened about the acid bath. My mistake was defining it individually because I did not expect any other meaning from the words coming together.
