Lena recently arrived in Willow Creek which maintained a peaceful atmosphere. A new church construction captured her attention because it stood adjacent to the town square. She sat next to an elderly man at the bench while asking him about the construction.
A deep sigh escaped him when he shared that the old church ended up burning during last winter. These residents unified to construct this building together.
Lena deeply respected the civic zeal of the town residents. She witnessed volunteers engaged in wall painting tasks while they set up pews along with flower planting activities at the main entrance every day.
A massive crowd of residents filled the space during the opening day celebration of the new church. The church bells started ringing to signal the arrival of the new pastor who officiated the inaugural entry for all attendees. When Lena walked through the door she experienced a pleasant sensation within her chest. For her the building of this new church represented more than a church because it functioned as her true home.
