This is my short fiction story based on the freewrite prompt.
They called it pandemic but it was not. There was something released into the sewers and the rats turned into this infected species out there to bite people and killing them. Everyone was hiding but rats found their way literally biting through walls. Only option left was killing them with the rifle.

Everyone was trying to get the guns and finding the target to hit. They even used snipers to reduce their numbers far away from. Even using lazers to kill their eyes and not speed them enough.
Finally the wave reached the village and farmers decided to take out their rifles.
