I digress
I die, Gress.
I die. Grrr, Ess.
Okay I'm just being silly. La di da. Lauda lauday. Sing God a silly song....lauda lauday. Make it up as you go along. It's not silly song, in those song lyrics...but silly song works. I like that song. I will sing the Lord a new song...It's very God-y, though. I should look it up. Find out the history. Maybe the God of the song is more like the god of love, of nature, of being, not the Abrahamic god of Christianity. What is God? An idea. A meaning we ascribe to being alive. There was some interview with Carl Sagan about the need for new ideas of religion, because the old ones aren't working for humanity anymore. That's kinda the idea behind that book I read for that paper I wrote for that class I took...that the old ideas of what it means to be human and be in society are not working for the majority of us anymore. So we need new ideas, new ways of being. We need to care for all of us, not just some of us. The sum of us is one. I have a photo of that graffiti. I'll find it and add it to this post before I public it I wonder if that quote is ascribed to anyone? I should check when I'm done with this freewrite. Ladidadida.
Timer is up. Just looked to see if the quote is attributable and the first things that popped up were this book, but I don't think the quote necessarily comes from it:
