Un gran hombre
Después de muchas discusiones y ausencias de mi padre, mamá decidió abandonarlo. La embriaguez lo había convertido en un padre ausente y desobligado. Las cosas se complicaron pues me enfermé de las vías respiratorias y mamá tuvo que pedir prestado para llevarme al médico. Ahora tenía que trabajar tiempo extra para poder cubrir esa deuda.
Un día, al salir ya tarde del trabajo, notó que un hombre enorme la seguía, ella se asustó mucho y se metió a un restaurante que estaba ahí cerca, pero el hombre también entro detrás de ella.
-Buenas noches señorita, no se asuste, solo quería platicar con usted, la he estado observando y al fin tomé valor para hablarle-
A mamá la tomó por sorpresa este extraño pretendiente, hacía mucho tiempo que nadie se acercaba a ella con esas intenciones. Por supuesto que ella lo rechazó inmediatamente pues no lo conocía, pero este gran hombre insistió por mucho tiempo aún sabiendo que mi madre tenía tres hijos. Quien iba a pensar que a este gran hombre lo llamaría por siempre padre con tanto amor y agradecimiento, pues fue quien finalmente nos alimento y nos dio educación a mi y a mis dos hermanos.
A big man
After many arguments and absences from my father, Mom decided to abandon him. Drunkenness had turned him into an absent and disobedient father. Mom was taken by surprise by this strange suitor, no one had approached her with such intentions for a long time. Of course she rejected him immediately because she did not know him, but this great man insisted for many time even knowing that my mother had three children. Who would have thought that I would forever call him father with so much love and gratitude, because he was the one who finally fed us and gave education to me and my two brothers.
