There was a three-story bank building in front of our apartment complex. It was a bank I used to use often, but I moved to another area.
The building was sold to a new owner. The new owner remodeled the building over a few months. And for the first time, an ATM machine from a bank that I use often was installed.
These days, I am withdrawing money using ATM machines. But no company has moved into the remodeled building since a few months have passed.
It's very sad. The new owner will not feel at ease. There are many apartments around. Our apartment alone has more than 1,700 households, and I think it's close to the surrounding apartments and the location is good.
But why aren't there any companies moving in? I think it may be because of the economic downturn. Private businesses are struggling because the economy is in recession and consumption is decreasing.
Let's hope the sluggish economy will revive and everyone will be able to laugh.
