National Wildlife Refuge's Center for Endangered Species Recovery

Our planet is losing a lot of things. Most notably, the number of endangered animals is increasing.
Why are they going extinct?
Because human urbanization, deforestation, and overdevelopment are encroaching on their habitats and taking away the space they need to survive.
Illegal hunting and poaching also pose a direct threat of extinction.
Global warming is also causing temperature changes, sea level rise, and changing weather patterns that make it harder for animals to adapt.
In addition, pollutants such as marine debris, chemicals, plastics, and heavy metals are killing ecosystems.
This, in turn, has a negative impact on humans.
In Korea, there is the National Ecological Center for Endangered Species Restoration located in Yeongyang-gun, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
It is a research institute specializing in the propagation and restoration of endangered wildlife that was opened to restore and preserve Korea's missing or endangered wildlife.
The center performs functions such as breeding, restoration technology development and follow-up management of endangered wildlife, support for species conservation and habitat protection policies, and educational programs to raise public awareness of species conservation.
The world is currently facing a rapid increase in the number of endangered species due to the indiscriminate destruction of ecosystems and serious ecosystem changes due to climate change.
Even now, many species are disappearing from the planet. It is difficult for a specific research institute, local government, private organization, or individual to protect them alone.
Only by working together and taking a collective interest can we save these species from extinction.
I would like to give the “award for the lost” for the Endangered Species Recovery Center of the National Ecological Center.
