“Death Comes to Tea” symbolizes the unexpected arrival of death or something ominous into an ordinary situation or place.
It can mean that a traumatic event or death occurs in the ordinary moment of drinking a cup of tea.
About 15 days ago, I was trying to sleep and I could feel a pain in my chest.
The pain occurred periodically, and I was worried, so I went out to the living room and slept on the couch.
The next day, I started to worry that I might have a heart condition.
I remembered that someone I was close to had died of a heart attack at work.
I thought it could be dangerous if I had a blockage in any of my blood vessels, so I thought I should go to the hospital and get checked out.
So I visited a hospital near my workplace that had an internal medicine and radiology department.
I saw an internal medicine doctor, told him what happened yesterday and asked him to run some tests.
I did echocardiography, arteriosclerosis, electrocardiogram, and carotid artery tests.
Fortunately, the test results came out normally and there was no problem.
The doctor kindly explained to me while looking at the echocardiogram screen. I was relieved to hear that there was no problem with the heart and that the blood vessels were fine.
And over time, the pain in my chest went away.
It was good that my insurance reimbursed me for most of the tests.
We need to take care of our vascular health.
A sudden blockage in a blood vessel can cut off blood flow to the heart and cause a heart attack (myocardial infarction), which is a life-threatening emergency.
We all need to live healthy.
