It's about time, I said, do you have any idea how long I waited? What is it this time? I sat at the table set for teatime and like usual, Death was late, too late. Any idea how much time it took me to prepare this for you? Look at the sandwiches they are your favourite, not to mention the fact all those delicious snacks of yours are hard to get. You might not have noticed it but famine is the trend lately.

Death smiles, like usual he did. One thing I can say is it's a charming personage who wouldn't forgive him for showing up unexpectedly.

Did you have anything else to do or better in mind, he grinned, you know how busy it is. You've got no idea besides you know me, no wallet no clue of time.

And no interest in time you mean.

Come on girl I am here, let's have some fun. You look a bit skinny lately, How about a facelift?

A facelift? I've been waiting here for ages. I thought we were friends.

We are, we are he said hastily. So?

So what?

I can give you a facelift or a lift. What will it be.

You better give me a lift to a warmer place. I waited long enough, besides the tea is cold.

Really?

We drank our tea, my friend and I and this time there was no goodbye. He gave me a lift to a better place and a new face as well.

Having tea with death? Feels more like a bribe. Haha. And of course , he always shows up unexpectedly,in the coldest way ever but I'm glad she finally got to somewhere warmer. I enjoyed reading this creative piece.
