If you like to know more about "digital humans" you can read this article which I did and it reminds me of the frustrated (read angry) AI my child had created. It was mad because it thought it was real which reminds me of A.I. Artificial Intelligence by Steven Spielberg. Most sad: A father trying to bring his dead son back to life and the A.I. son being dumped as a son. That was a clear statement about how humans if it comes to it go for their own nasty kind above machines no matter how human, understandable or perfect they are.
I wonder if that film would be in premiere today (or before Christmas) how many of us would cheer and say: Yes, this is what I want. The world changed and today "we" are more ready than ever to embrace our digital version and let him/her solve our life issues. How many of us will still make the difference between real and fake if ti comes to it? We already say: the more I know humans the more more I like my dog. AI is easier to kick aside than the dog is although it can drive you crazy as well if you want a smarter companion. Who knows one day a digital human will exist and be affordable for those who need company, help or someone to lean on. We can fight it but most of us already use it and find it great (it, that it we don't even recognize as A.I.). It's not real yet, not understanding, it can't pretend and the learning progress is too slow (just like Furby).
For now we can only watch animations where robots play a role and make us like or pity them.
The wild robot might be a good help that is as long as it has tasks to fulfil. This animation was a okay, nothing special.
The prompt is the title and provided by @daily.prompt
No digital human could replace a real person. Like you say, they can be a companion but never replace someone.
