Surprise! For you, do you like it? It will keep you company.
I stared at the hairball inside the box and it gazed at me. This was the last thing I expected.
Don't worry it's a gift.

How many times did I tell I don't like surprises and especially not this, a pet! I have nothing with animals and I the smell that came out of the box wasn't what I liked to have in my house.

What is it, I would like to know.

Healthy, my friend said while she tickled the hairy intruder that didn't hesitate to pee straight into her face. She grinned while there was nothing to laugh about. Whatever it was, this would never a dog with a real size. I didn't see me let it out in the park, clean up the poop with those doggie bags.

Please, stop it, I screamed as she lifted it out of the box and placed it on the sofa I saved for the past ten years. OMG, no way I could give it back to Ikea, that dog smell could never be removed.

My friend looked surprised and I added: You know I hate surprises and this isn't what I call company. How about you showing up more frequently or text me or... I've never been so upset.

Or what?

I rather have a robot to keep me company.

She left without a word with the box but the dog... it's still on the sofa as if he owns the place. It's late, tomorrow I will call animal rescue and report that I found a smelly pup.

That was harsh...

Puppies could be destructive, I can vividly see one peeing on someone as it's talking 😂😂

Never give a pet as a gift. It's the worst one can do for the pet and the new owner. I had a shelter for many years and better don't ask how many I took care of. Once wanted, next dumped, unwanted and so on. An animal is a responsibility and the fun or love we receive does not always weight up to all the responsibilities.
Thanks for stopping by. A great weekend to you.

If she can't love the smelly dog I hope she finds it a home where it will be loved and not dumped somewhere. Only give animals to no-kill shelters.
