Reflections on time

in Blockchain Poets3 years ago

Serenity over oceans
Blue like skies high above
Crystal clear destiny

Moments pass fading
Winds blow sands always shifting
Of seasons change

Waves crash softly
Summer clouds from crashing waves
Wishing on stars

Deep dark depths
Life abound unseen naked eyes
Existing in dreams

Turbulent currents above
Calm serene clear blue waters
Every corner alive

As human beings, we definitely feel the need to reflect on time from time to time 😁 Thanks for this invitation you make in your poetry by providing some inspiring insights. The chosen words are very poetical and interesting to discover, such as ''naked eyes'', a very beautiful visual expression.

I often wonder
Of things left unsaid
Of superfluous thoughts gone astray
Unsaid, left out, just thoughts ...

Wonder if there is a poets dictionary, know of one?

Interesting question...I have seen some kind of Poetry Dictionary or Glossary of Poetic Terms on the Internet...but if you think of poets' names...not sure...although I guess it might exist somewhere...because lots of things simply exist today 😁

It would be handy to have in hand when you are lost of words or having a writers block. Do you have a poet you read or know of?

There are many I have read over the years...I think right now of Omar Khayyam.

That's a deep dive in poetry right there.

I have not heard of them until today.

My foray was only ever touched by school reading of Robert Browning.

And a sprinkling of tides, to push my brain over

I also have to check Browning 😁

Beautiful picture and great poem about the beach, just very cool, life goes by faster there, greetings =)

Yes, life tends to speed here.

At times you look out
Not a cloud in the sky
There is summer all about
Everything is clearer, no doubt.

Lets not blink
Moments come and go
Sleep a little, like a wink
Time passes a sandy flow.

Thank you.

You made me think of the precipitation cycle, with your juxtaposing of air/clouds/wind and water/waves/depths. water evaporates, forms clouds, blows winds, rains down, joins depths, pushes waves. it is a really pretty poem too!

Thank you, juxtaposing things are always fun when you get the right words in a poem.

Beautiful. Time is so difficult to capture. It seems like every few years my relationship to it completely changes.

So true, the ebb and flow of time definitely changes. Year in year out.

Todo cambia pero el amor en realidad es paz gracias por el post
