After taking in the flora, we enjoyed refreshing tropical juices prepared by the local Fijians, providing a perfect refreshment after a warm day.

Our day continued with a visit to the Sabeto Hot Springs, where we indulged in a unique Fijian mud bath experience. A quick pivot to Kanu for dinner offered us contemporary dining that blends traditional Fijian ingredients with modern culinary techniques. Our taste buds were delighted, and we felt the connection to local culture grow stronger as we wound down after an exhilarating first day in Fiji.
Waterfalls and Beaches: Adventure Awaits
The following day, we embarked on a scenic journey to the Biausevu Waterfall, renowned for its beauty. A short hike led us to this hidden gem, where the cascading waters provided an opportunity for cliff jumping, a thrill accentuated by our local guide's expertise.
Part 4/9:
Post-waterfall adventures took us to Natadola Beach, often referred to as one of the most beautiful beaches in Viti Levu. With its pristine white sands and crystal-clear water, we found ourselves in paradise. Horse riding, local massages, and a refreshing coconut drink heightened our beach experience before we indulged in a snorkeling adventure right off the beach to explore the vibrant coral reef.
The Mamanuka Islands: Snorkeling and Sunset Dining

Our quest for exploration continued with a full-day boat tour to the Mamanuka Islands, reputed for some of Fiji's best snorkeling. Traveling with South Sea Sailing, we immersed ourselves in the adventure of a lifetime, taking in stunning sights, engaging in cultural music and dance, and experiencing some of the best underwater life Fiji offers.
As the sun began to set, we returned to Nadi and found ourselves at Indigo Restaurant, often cited for the best Indian cuisine in the area. Dining while watching the sunset added a memorable touch to an already incredible day.
Diving into Adventure: The Coral Coast

The next day brought the excitement of scuba diving at the legendary Beqa Lagoon. This coastal area is famed for its marine diversity, including impressive shark dives. However, as first-timers in scuba diving, we chose to explore the stunning coral reefs instead. The underwater beauty exceeded our expectations, revealing colorful corals, turtles, and a variety of fish—one of our favorite experiences in Fiji.
After our dive, we relaxed at Maui Palms Beach, soaking in the sun and the serene atmosphere. The coral reef offered further snorkeling opportunities for more adventurous spirits.
Taveuni: The Garden Island

Leaving Viti Levu behind, we took a domestic flight to Taveuni, known as "The Garden Island." This lesser-known destination houses world-class marine life and dramatic waterfalls. Our Airbnb, comfortably situated near the airport, offered breathtaking views, setting the stage for our explorations ahead.
Diving into Taveuni's bright underwater realm was a highlight. Renowned for its marine biodiversity, Fiji's currents create incredible diving conditions, making our scuba experience truly extraordinary.
Our day was capped off with a hike to Tavoro Falls, providing the perfect blend of adventure and awe-inspiring nature. The breathtaking waterfall was a refreshing reward after our trek, and cliff jumping into the cool waters made for extra fun.
