RE: Saturday Savers Club with @susie-saver | Week 6 - Saturday 3 February 2022 | SPI Side Hustle | Black History Month | Setting SMARTER Goals ftw | Win EDS for Comments - everyone welcome!
I plan on saving weekly but I don't know how far or how much I can save weekly but I don't mind receiving ideas that will help me because I don't know and I am not sure how much my weekly payout can be.
Well, you could decide that you will save all your HBD every week, how ever much or little you make. That is quite a good idea, if you do not need to withdraw any of your HBD to sell, because you will make 12% interest on all your savings. Alternatively, you might decide that you will save half of all the HBD that you make and keep the rest liquid.
Another idea is to use the 365 Challenge, so you start by saving small amounts each day (or weekly) and they gradually increase over time. That is quite a good idea, so that you gradually save more as your account grows bigger and you know more people. You can find the chart to do that in this post.
There is a slightly different way to use the charts and that is to save different amounts according to how much HDB you have earned that week, and then mark the amounts you have saved off the daily (or weekly) charts. You can see this method on @phoenixwren's posts.
You can make a post whenever you like. Some people have just made one post stating their savings goals, other people like to make a post weekly or monthly with their progress: @bearmol does a report each week and @jfang003 usually does each month, and they link it here. Both of them usually comment here each week, so you can ask them about what works for them and have a look at their posts 😍
It's up to you but last year I started late and did a catch up. So it's up to you to figure out what works for you. I generally just wait to do it monthly so I can bulk it up with my monthly HPUD.
Okay, that's cool. I think the weekly will work better for me so I don't end up withdrawing it for my personal needs and find a way to also join the HPUD to help me in increasing my HP too.
Hello @carlynn. How awesome you're going to save in HBD and take advantage of the 12% interest. Good choice.
I'm following the Weekly Chart you captured below. I already see a huge difference in my account. However, you can save whatever amount you're comfortable with. At any time I don't have the weekly amount of liquid available to save, I'll just save whatever I have. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up the next following week.

Wow, this is a smart idea, thank you for this, I am sure going to keep this in mind.
Hello @carlynn, how many do you want to save? It is your goal 😍.

So I need goals that I can fulfill.

Hope that helps 😍
The penny, can it be 1 HBD?
And if I am using the weekly chart, and it's week 5 already does that mean, I will be dropping the exact amount for this week?
Good enough, I had already started saving when I made my intention known, so should I just make my post and wait for the next week?
Yes, the penny can be HBD 🙂.
Yes, you could start at week 5 🙂.

Alright, I will go through a few posts and make my goal post and will continue the saving goals since I have already started. Thank you for your help.
