I think it depends on your thinking on the net. Speaking specifically of you, my view is that you are a builder within Hive and INLEO and have an absurdly large amount of tokens.
In that case, delegating an amount that doesn't affect your income too much helps to distribute and build Hive and INLEO and the "damage" you cause by reducing your income is too small compared to the help you give the network to grow.
If you were to delegate, for example, all your tokens without earning any income, this would probably harm you much more than it would help the network. Decreasing your income by 1% can increase a small holder's income by 200% and encourage them to be more active and invite more people!
It does not benefit you directly, unless the other person sends you a portion of their earned curation rewards!
When i had received the bad luck prize for you, even thought I was not requested to - I sent you liquid $leo at the end of the delegation. I think it is the fair thing to do. Nonetheless, delegating smaller accounts benefits the accounts > platform > all of us :)

I thought delegation to smb gives back some curation rewards to the tokens owner. I have delegated HP to leo voter in the past and I feel happy with the daily drops.

I have started #building my new gear... more when I can! But this one will be for hosting more NVMe stuff with bifurcation within the PCIe.
The cost of petrol is very high in my area now. 1 Liter of petrol is NGN750, that is almost 2 Hive. Its not surprising to see petrol stations like this one empty by many buyers cant afford the high price. No thanks to inflation. #mydiary
It's more like 6 $HIVE in the UK, but people here probably earn more. Can still be expensive for us.
You are right, UK has a better economy and the taxes work well to have a much better standard of Living. Besides, Nigeria is an exporter of oil. The price is the highest ever we have bought it here.
That's very sad, it would also affect the local transport with high fares.
Sure, it is affecting everything. We just hope that the price would come down soon.

What's the plan to scale up in 2024 then?
Hive and Leo Power up and delegate... Rest other altcoins sell shor term, sell take out profit. No more HODL. Only if I hodl after all profit zones would be bitcoin and eth, that too only if I stay profitable for 6 months or so.. otherwise aggressively all out..
Is there any plan to utilize the $HBD savings or rather withdraw to cash?
For now just powering up for safety net.. but HBD most likely be used to pay debt.. once I am out of paying bills cycle I may consider HBD savings.. and also BTC and ETH for next cycle of emergency fund if they come like pandemic times..
