It sure is easier to subscribe to Inleo premium. When I was thinking about X premium, I had trouble finding the plan I want. Overall, the whole settings UI on X is complex af when trying to find a specific thing...
apparently there was an "invoice" due from last time I was subscribed, not sure how that's even possible, but that seems to be causing me issues now but no way to get in contact with support without having premium on there which is dumb
Well, that's just crazy! It's like you are in a limbo now. I had a similar experience with Binance, no way the explain my issue. No customer support, just bots everywhere.

After their weeklong journey turned into a monthslong stay on the International Space Station, two Boeing Starliner astronauts are now within reach of the spacecraft that will eventually bring them home.
The SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule, chosen by NASA to carry astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore back to Earth after their Starliner spacecraft was deemed too risky for crew, has arrived the space station. The vehicle, on a mission called Crew-9, docked at the ISS at about 5:30 p.m. ET Sunday.
On board the SpaceX vehicle were NASA astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Aleksandr Gorbunov. Alongside them were two empty seats, saved for Williams and Wilmore to occupy when the group returns to Earth next year.
Elastic founder and CTO Shay Banon explains why the company returned to open source, four years after going proprietary.
Licensing kerfuffles have long been a defining facet of the commercial open source space. Some of the biggest vendors have switched to a more restrictive “copyleft” license, as Grafana and Element have done, or gone full proprietary, as HashiCorp did last year with Terraform.
In a surprising move, Elastic, the company behind the popular search and data retrieval engine Elasticsearch, has decided to reverse its decision to switch to a proprietary license and make Elasticsearch open source once more. This decision goes against the trend of many companies abandoning open source and instead opting for proprietary licenses.
The company's decision to switch to a proprietary license in 2021 was due to a trademark dispute with Amazon's cloudsubsidiary AWS, which was selling its own managed version of Elasticsearch. However, Elastic has now decided to abandon its proprietary license and return to an open source model.
According to Shay Banon, the company's co-founder and CTO, the decision to switch back to open source was made because the proprietary license was taking too long to resolve the trademark issue, and the company wanted to safeguard its brand. Banon also expressed his personal love for open source and his desire to be part of the open source community.
Elastic has chosen to use the AGPL (Affero General Public License) instead of the permissive Apache 2.0 license it used previously. The AGPL has greater restrictions, requiring any derivativesoftware to be released under the same AGPL license. This decision allows Elastic to call itself open source again, as the AGPL is recognized as an open source license by the Open Source Initiative (OSI).
Banon hopes to work with the OSI to create a new license or have a discussion about which licenses get to be classified as open source. He believes that the perfect license would sit between the AGPL and SSPL (Server Side Public License), which is used by MongoDB. For now Banon is happy to simply be able to call Elastic's products "open source" again, as it encapsulates the code being open and the community aspects.
The company's decision to go open source again is a significant move, as it goes against the trend of many companies abandoning open source. The company's decision to use the AGPL license instead of the Apache 2.0 license shows that it is willing to make compromises to achieve its goal of being part of the open source community.
Elastic's decision to return to open source is a testament to the company's commitment to the open source philosophy and its desire to be part of the community. The company's willingness to work with the OSI to create a new license or discuss the classification of open source licenses also demonstrates its dedication to the open source community.
Slowing down the pace of #ai development makes no sense. People are fearful of themselves and projecting that onto AI. What we are dealing with is not intelligence.
We are barely at the point of creating AI knowledge.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday vetoed a hotly contested artificial intelligence safety bill.
California Governor Gavin Newsom on Sunday vetoed a hotly contested artificial intelligence safety bill after the tech industry raised objections, saying it could drive AI companies from the state and hinder innovation.
California Governor Gavin Newsom has vetoed a bill aimed at regulating the development and deployment of generative AI systems, citing concerns that the legislation did not adequately address the unique risks and challenges associated with these advanced technologies. The bill, sponsored by Democratic State Senator Scott Wiener, would have required developers of AI software operating in California to undergo rigorous safety testing, outline methods for shutting down AI models, and establish a state entity to oversee the development of advanced AI models.
Newsom argued that the bill would impose "stringent standards" on even the most basic AI functions, without taking into account the specific environments in which the AI systems would be deployed. He expressed concerns that the bill would not differentiate between AI systems used in high-risk settings, those that involve critical decision-making, or those that handle sensitive data. Additionally, Newsom stated that the bill would not be informed by empirical trajectory analysis of AI systems and capabilities, which he believes is essential for developing effective regulations.
The veto was met with criticism from Senator Wiener, who argued that the decision makes California less safe and allows companies developing powerful AI technology to operate without binding restrictions. Wiener pointed out that voluntary commitments from industry are not enforceable and often fail to prioritize public interests.
The bill had faced opposition from a wide range of groups, including Alphabet's Google, Microsoft-backed OpenAi, and Meta Platforms, aLL of which are developing generative AI models. Some Democrats in the U.S. Congress, including Representative Nancy Pelosi, also opposed the bill.
Despite the veto, Newsom announced that he will work with the legislature to develop AI legislation during the next session. He also signed legislation requiring the state to assess potential threats posed by generative AI to California's critical infrastructure, including energy, water, and communications sectors.
The veto comes as legislation in the U.S. Congress to set safeguards for AI has stalled, and the Biden administration is advancing regulatory proposals for AI oversight. Newsom suggested that a California-only approach may be warranted, especially in the absence of federal action by Congress.
The debate surrounding generative AI systems is growing, as these technologies have the potential to revolutionize industries but also raise concerns about job displacement, election manipulation, and catastrophic effects. As AI continues to evolve, it is essential that policymakers and industry leaders work together to develop effective regulations that balance innovation with public safety and well-being.

The world of WordPress, one of the most popular technologies for creating and hosting websites, is going through a very heated controversy.
The world of WordPress, one of the most popular technologies for creating and hosting websites, is going through a very heated controversy. The core issue is the fight between WordPress founder and Automattic CEO Matt Mullenweg and WP Engine, which hosts websites built on WordPress.
The ongoing legal battle between Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, and WP Engine, a hosting service that utilizes the WordPress brand, has sparked a heated debate within the open-source community. T
The dispute began when Automattic's CEO, Matt Mullenweg, published a blog post criticizing WP Engine for disabling the revision historyfeature for its users, which Mullenweg believes is essential for data protection. He also accused WP Engine of not contributing sufficiently to the open-source WordPress project and of confusing customers into believing it is part of WordPress.
In response, WP Engine sent a cease-and-desist letter to Mullenweg and Automattic, claiming that their use of the WordPress trademark was covered under fair use. Automattic then sent its own cease-and-desist letter to WP Engine, alleging that it had breached WordPress and WooCommerce trademark usage rules. The WordPress Foundation, which owns the trademark, subsequently updated its Trademark policy page to call out WP Engine for confusing users.
The dispute escalated when the WordPress Foundation banned WP Engine from accessing the resources of WordPress.org, which resulted in many websites being broken and left vulnerable to security attacks. The community was not pleased with this approach, and WP Engine accused Mullenweg of misusing his control of WordPress to interfere with its customers' access to WordPress.org.
The ban was temporarily lifted, but the dispute continues. Mullenweg has clarified that the fight is only against WP Engine over trademarks, and Automattic has been trying to broker a trademark licensing deal for a long time. The WordPress community is concerned about the potential for similar disputes with other projects and is asking for clear guidance on how they can and can't use the "WordPress" brand.
Developers are also worried about relying on commercial open-source products related to WordPress, especially when their access can be revoked quickly. Ghost's founder, John O'Nolan, has criticized the control WordPress has with one person, saying that the web needs more independent organizations and diversity.
In response to the controversy, WP Engine updated its site's footer to clarify that it is not directly affiliated with the WordPress Foundation or owns the WordPress trademark. The company also changed its plan names to remove references to "WordPress." The dispute highlights the complexities of trademark law and the importance of clear guidelines for using open-source brands. It also raises questions about the control and ownership of open-source projects and the potential for similar disputes in the future.
The controversy has sparked a wider discussion about the role of open-source projects and the need for clear guidelines on trademark usage. It has also raised concerns about the potential for similar disputes in the future, particularly in the context of commercial open-source products. As the debate continues, the WordPress community is left wondering what the future holds for the open-source project and how it will navigate the complexities of trademark law.
Meta's plan to generate synthetic content tailored to individual users — which attracted little notice this week amid a slew of product announcements — opens a whole new Pandora's box in an AI world already full of them.
A SpaceX rocket soared into the sky Saturday with two passengers on board, leaving two seats empty to return American astronauts who have been stranded for months on the International Space Station, NASA said.
Businesses need stability to thrive. Unfortunately for anyone in Sudan, stability has been hard to come by for the past year and a half as the country quakes amidst a raging civil war. More than 20,000 people have been killed, and about 7.7 million people have been displaced just within the country; millions have had to flee across international borders as refugees.
The article sheds light on the daunting challenges faced by startups in Sudan, a country ravaged by war, and the unwavering dedication of Savannah Innovation Labs, a startup incubator, to continue operating despite the conflict.
The incubator's founder, Yousif Yahya, recounts the harrowing experience of fleeing to Egypt with his family in April when the war broke out, leaving behind their home and business. Despite the turmoil, Yahya remained committed to his vision of building a thriving startup ecosystem in Sudan and resumed operations in the relatively safer provinces of Port Sudan and Kassala.
Savannah Innovation Labs had previously established a startup incubator in Sudan, which had received funding from the European Union and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. The incubator aimed to foster entrepreneurship and had taken in over 300 entrepreneurs, providing them with a launchpad and training. The program had also planned to provide equity funding to the 100 finalists of the pitch competition, but due to the war, the funding was changed to grant funding.
Yahya believes that talent precedes investment and that building a strong talent pool is essential for national transformation. To achieve this, he has established networks in neighboring countries, including Uganda, Kenya, and Egypt, to bring together dispersed members of the Sudanese startup community. Savannah has also enabled thousands of people to enter Sudan's startup ecosystem and has fostered several startups, including Sudan's first YC-backed startup, Bloom (now Elevate).
Despite the numerous challenges, Yahya remains optimistic about the potential of Sudan's startup ecosystem. He believes that the country will be a ripe VC market after the war, as many family businesses have been destroyed or bled cash, and the new generation will want to come in and set up funds and advisory firms in the sectors that their family businesses have historically been. This presents an opportunity for startups to fill the gaps and drive innovation.
Yahya's vision extends beyond Sudan, as he aims to bridge capital gaps in untapped markets like Tanzania, Ethiopia, Uganda, and especially those considered risky due to conflict, like Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). He believes that these markets have the potential to rewrite the framework of what new economies will look like.
In summary, the article highlights the resilience of startups in Sudan, despite the challenges posed by war, and the efforts of Savannah Innovation Labs to continue operating and building a startup ecosystem in the country. Yahya's unwavering dedication to his vision and his ability to adapt to the changing circumstances are a testament to the power of entrepreneurship and innovation in the face of adversity.

Not sure we are seeing DeFi yet. Wall Street is hijacking a great deal of crypto. Time will tell how this all pans out.
We are nothing without data. That is why decentralizing data is the major priority. From there, AI models and agents can be built tied to blockchain. That is the future of financial (and economic) activity.
The UAE-based podcast distribution platform plans to explore new growth opportunities in Latin America, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
Podcast listeners crossed half a billion people at the end of last year as listenership maintained steady growth. With countries in the Arab world having some of the most engaged listeners, a podcasting startup out of Dubai is doubling down on the opportunity.
Podeo, a pioneering podcast distribution platform based in the United Arab Emirates, has secured a significant $5.4 million investment in its Series A funding round to expand its operations in Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. This latest development marks a major milestone for the company, which has already established a substantial following in the Arab world, boasting an impressive 50 million subscribers.
Podeo's journey began in 2015 when its CEO, Stefano Fallaha, a high schoolstudent in Beirut at the time, launched a side project called Fallound, an audio-based social network. Although the project failed to gain traction, Fallaha relaunched the company as a smart podcast aggregator that utilized machine learningalgorithms to make personalized recommendations based on user preferences. However, the app struggled to gain popularity in the Middle East-North Africa region due to a lack of engaging Arabic content.
It wasn't until the devastating 2020 Beirut chemical explosion that Podeo's fortunes changed. The disaster led to a surge in demand for authentic storytelling, and Podeo transformed into a platform for people to share their experiences and stories. By pivoting its focus towards storytelling and community-building, the company was able to gain traction and attract a large following.
Podeo's success can be attributed to its ability to produce exclusive podcasts and collaborate with creators to offer a diverse range of content. A number of YouTube videos featuring music from artists such as Adele, Green Day, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, and R.E.M. have been unplayable in the United States
A number of YouTube videos featuring music from artists such as Adele, Green Day, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, and R.E.M. have been unplayable in the United States since Saturday.
YouTube has blocked music videos featuring several popular artists, including Bob Dylan, due to a dispute with the Society of European StageAuthors and Composers (SESAC), a performing rights organization that represents over 35,000 music artists and publishers. The dispute has resulted in the removal of these videos from YouTube in the US, with users instead seeing a message stating that the content is not available in their country.
The issue is not limited to just a few videos, as many songs by these artists are no longer playable on YouTube. However, it's unclear whether all videos featuring these artists are blocked or if some have simply been overlooked.
YouTube has blamed the situation on failed negotiations with SESAC, stating that despite their best efforts, they were unable to reach an equitable agreement before the current deal expired. The company is now in active conversations with SESAC, hoping to reach a new deal as soon as possible.
This situation is similar to a dispute between Universal Music Group and TikTok earlier this year, where UMG pulled songs by popular artists including Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Ariana Grande from the platform while negotiating over royalties.
SESAC is not a record label, but rather an organization that collects royalties for songwriters and publishers, similar to ASCAP and BMI. The organization represents a wide range of artists, including Burna Boy, George Clinton, Kenny Rogers, Kings of Leon, and many others.

The broadcasting industry landscape has changed significantly since the two satellite providers first tried to merge in 2002 and were blocked by federal regulators.
DirecTV and Dish Announce Merger to Survive in a Dominated Broadcasting Industry
After decades of flirting with a merger, the nation's two largest satellite TV providers, DirecTV and Dish, have finally reached a deal to join forces. The acquisition, announced on Monday, will see DirecTV take over Dish and Sling TV from EchoStar for a symbolic $1, while assuming the companies' $9.75 billion in debts. the Merger is seen as a crucial move for the satellite companies to survive in a broadcasting industry dominated by tech firms and network-owned streaming services.
The idea of a merger between DirecTV and Dish dates back to 2002, when EchoStar attempted to buy DirecTV from its then-owner Hughes electronicscorporation. However, the deal was blocked by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) and the Department of Justice (DOJ), which argued that the merger would create a TV monopoly in parts of the country where cable television wasn't available. At the time, EchoStar had approximately 7.5 million subscribers, while DirecTV had 10.9 million subscribers.
Fast forward to 2016, DirecTV had more than doubled its customer base to 25.5 million subscribers. However, as streaming services began to dominate the TV landscape and other satellite companies, like Elon Musk's Starlink, entered the picture, the satellite TV business slumped. Today, the two companies boast roughly the same number of customers as they did when federal regulators nixed their merger more than two decades ago – with EchoStar reporting about 8 million subscribers as of June and analysts estimating DirecTV's subscriber base to be around 11 million.
The rise of other competitors, including streaming services and network-owned streaming services, has made it increasingly difficult for satellite TV providers to survive. The merger is nOW more about survival than creating a monopoly. DirecTV's CEO, Bill Morrow, stated that the company operates in a highly competitive video distribution industry and that the merger will allow them to work with programmers to realize their vision for the future of TV, which is to aggregate, curate, and distribute content tailored to customers' interests.
As part of the deal, AT&T, which owns a 70 percent stake in DirecTV, has agreed to sell its shares to TPG, a private equity firm that owns the remaining 30 percent of the company, for $7.6 billion. The deal must still be approved by federal regulators, who under President Joe Biden have been particularly active on antitrust cases.
Company executives have emphasized that the merger will increase, rather than hurt, competition for both television and wireless network customers. The deal is expected to provide U.S. wireless consumers with more choices and help drive innovation at a faster pace. EchoStar's CEO, Hamid Akhavan, stated that the merger will benefit DISH and EchoStar bondholders by creating two companies with stronger financial profiles and more sustainable capital structures.
The merger between DirecTV and Dish is a significant development in the broadcasting industry, which has been dominated by tech firms and network-owned streaming services. The deal is seen as a crucial move for the satellite companies to survive and thrive in a rapidly changing market. While the merger must still be approved by federal regulators, it is expected to provide consumers with more choices and drive innovation in the industry.
Galaxy Monitoring Array: A Vision for Mass Production of Space Telescopes
Imagine a future where we can monitor the entire galaxy, down to objects as small as 10-100 kilometers in resolution, using mass-produced space telescopes. This ambitious vision is made possible by leveraging gravitational lensing, solar sails, and advanced materials. In this article, we'll explore the concept of the Galaxy Monitoring Array, a network of lightweight one-meter telescopes that could be deployed in vast numbers to study the galaxy and the universe.
Currently, sending space probes to the nearest star takes decades, and it would take 100,000 years to reach the other side of the galaxy. Even if we were to send back data, it would take another 100,000 years to receive it. This makes it difficult to study the galaxy in real-time. However, by using gravitational lensing, we can leverage the gravity of the sun to make a telescope 100 billion times more effective, allowing us to study objects on the other side of the sun. This technology would enable us to study the galaxy in real-time, without the need for decades-long journeys.
NASA has been working on a one-third scale prototype of the solar sails, which have already been built. A full-scale mission would weigh less than 50 kilograms. By using solar sails, we can achieve speeds of 20 times faster than current technology, allowing us to reach the outer reaches of the galaxy. This would enable us to deploy telescopes in a fraction of the time it would take with traditional propulsion systems. Additionally, the lightweight design of the telescopes would make them easier to launch and deploy, reducing the cost and complexity of the mission.
Imagine deploying one telescope for every solar system in the galaxy. This would enable us to constantly image objects in every solar system, providing a real-time view of the galaxy. To achieve this, we would need to improve the heat resistance of materials and develop more efficient solar sails. The Galaxy Monitoring Array would be a network of interconnected telescopes, working together to provide a comprehensive view of the galaxy. Each telescope would be equipped with advanced sensors and AI-powered data analysis software, allowing it to detect and track objects in real-time.
SpaceX has already demonstrated the capability to launch thousands of Starlink satellites. With mass production, we could deploy millions of satellites, outnumbering the 5 million global cell towers. Why not go further and deploy billions of Starlink-sized space telescopes? The same mass of space telescopes as the world's cars would be approximately 200 billion telescopes, one for each solar system in the galaxy. This would enable us to study the galaxy in unprecedented detail, providing a wealth of data for scientists to analyze and learn from.
The Galaxy Monitoring Array would provide a flood of information for AI analysis and learning, allowing us to study the galaxy and the universe in unprecedented detail. With this array, we could:
Monitor the formation of stars and planets, providing insights into the early stages of planetary development
Study the behavior of black holes and quasars, shedding light on the mysteries of the universe
The Galaxy Monitoring Array is a vision for the future of space exploration, where mass production and deployment of lightweight telescopes and solar sails enable us to study the galaxy and the universe in real-time. With the potential to deploy billions of telescopes, we could gain a deeper understanding of the cosmos and unlock new discoveries. The possibilities are endless, and the future of space exploration has never been brighter.
Ten years ago, NASA nearly chose a single spacecraft provider, a decision that would have left SpaceX out of the picture, and set the stage for a disastrously limited future.
It’s hard to imagine a more stressful version of the Boeing Starliner saga, but an insider’s look into a fateful meeting that took place 10 years ago reveals that things could have been much worse.
In 2014, NASA awarded contracts to Boeing and SpaceX to develop commercial spacecraft capable of carrying crew and cargo to the International space Station (ISS). However, NASA was reportedly considering going aLL in on Boeing, selecting the company's Starliner as the only commercial spacecraft used to transport its astronauts to and from the ISS. This decision was ultimately averted due to Boeing's disastrous first launch and NASA's decision to choose both companies.
Boeing's Starliner, which launched on June 5, 2019, carrying NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunni Williams, experienced multiple issues during its maiden voyage. The spacecraft suffered from five thruster failures and five helium leaks, prompting NASA to run tests on the ground to identify the main issue behind the thruster glitch. Despite these issues, the mission teams decided to return an uncrewed Starliner and bring back its crew on board SpaceX's Dragon spacecraft.
NASA evaluated the companies based on price, mission suitability, and past performance. SpaceX had a lower bid of $2.6 billion, while Boeing asked for $4.2 billion. Boeing received an "excellent" rating for mission suitability, while SpaceX received a "very good" rating. Boeing also scored a "very high" rating based on past performance, while SpaceX received a rating of "high".
However, Boeing's refusal to perform an in-flight test of Starliner's abort system became a critical factor in NASA's decision-making process. NASA's head of safety and mission assurance deemed the company's bid as unsatisfactory, citing concerns over the spacecraft's reliability and safety. SpaceX's bid, on the other hand, had a lower asking price, making it possible for NASA to consider picking two companies instead of one.
The decision was so close that NASA had to rewrite its Commercial Crew contract to include both companies. If NASA had only chosen Boeing as its sole commercial partner, the consequences would have been dire. Boeing's Starliner would have been the only spacecraft used to transport NASA astronauts to and from the ISS, leaving the agency reliant on a troubled spacecraft. NASA would have also lost the opportunity to work with SpaceX, which has since become a reliable partner.
The ongoing tale of Boeing and SpaceX illustrates the growing pains of the spaceflight industry. The competition between the two companies has driven innovation and improved the quality of their spacecraft. NASA's decision to choose both companies has allowed the agency to benefit from the competition and has given it more options for transporting its astronauts to and from the ISS.
The benefits of competition are evident in the spaceflight industry. The rivalry between Boeing and SpaceX has pushed both companies to innovate and improve their spacecraft. NASA's decision to choose both companies has given the agency more flexibility and options for its space missions. The competition has also driven down costs and improved the overall quality of the spacecraft.
In conclusion, NASA's close call with choosing Boeing as its sole commercial partner highlights the importance of competition in the spaceflight industry. The agency's decision to choose both Boeing and SpaceX has allowed it to benefit from the competition and has given it more options for transporting its astronauts to and from the ISS. The ongoing tale of the two companies serves as a reminder of the importance of innovation and competition in driving progress in the spaceflight industry.
The SpaceX spacecraft docked with the ISS one day after its launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States, atop a Falcon 9 rocket. Astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Alexandre Gorbounov traveled on it.
The administrator of the American space agency, Bill Nelson, considered the launch successful. “We live in an exciting time of exploration and innovation,” he said.
"We know that this launch is unique, with just two passengers," said Jim Free, associate administrator at NASA, last Friday (27) during a press conference, in which he also thanked SpaceX "for its support and flexibility."
Elon Musk's company is responsible for the regular ISS crew rotation mission.
The Crew-9 liftoff was postponed from mid-August to September to give NASA teams more time to make a decision regarding Boeing's first manned Starliner mission. The launch was also postponed for a few days due to Hurricane Helene, which hit Florida.
Hague and Gorbounov will spend around five months on the ISS and, until then, carry out around 200 scientific experiments. When they return to Earth, they will be joined by Wilmore and Williams.
The two NASA astronauts traveled to the space station in early June aboard Boeing's CST-100 Starliner capsule.
The spacecraft developed a helium leak even before launch, a problem that repeated itself again on its journey to the ISS.
The mission, which was then expected to last eight days, was extended due to technical problems in the capsule. The American space agency rescheduled the ship's return three times - originally it would be on June 14th, it was changed to the 18th, then the 22nd and later the 26th - and, finally, there was no set date.
With the extension of the mission, NASA and Boeing officials were reluctant to use the word "trapped" to refer to the two astronauts who traveled in the capsule, which would add another negative point to the history of a project that has accumulated delays due to setbacks. technicians.
In August of this year, NASA announced that Wilmore and Williams would wait for the Crew-9 mission to return to Earth. On that occasion, Bill Nelson mentioned the importance of focusing on safety and recalled the accidents with the Challenger (1986) and Columbia (2003) space shuttles to highlight the change in internal culture that emerged from these tragedies.

I Asked ChatGPT: What's the difference between "Complex" and "Complicated?"
Summarized Response:
The difference between "complex" and "complicated" lies in their nature. Complex refers to systems with many interconnected parts where interactions can lead to unpredictable outcomes. These systems, like ecosystems or the human brain, have underlying patterns and adaptability but are not easily reducible to their individual components. Complicated, on the other hand, refers to systems with many parts that follow specific rules or procedures, which, while difficult to understand, can be analyzed and solved step by step, like a jet engine or a legal case. In essence, complex systems are dynamic and emergent, while complicated systems are static but challenging due to their intricacy.
The terms "complex" and "complicated" are often used interchangeably, but they have distinct meanings, especially in technical or academic contexts:
Complex
Definition: Something that is made up of many interconnected parts or systems that work together in intricate ways.
Nature: Complex systems have an underlying structure, pattern, or organization, even if it is not immediately obvious.
Example: A living organism like the human body is complex. It has numerous interacting systems (nervous, circulatory, digestive, etc.), and each part plays a role in the whole.
Key Idea: Complexity arises from interdependence and adaptability. In a complex system, small changes in one part can ripple through and affect other parts, but there are often predictable patterns.
The terms "complex" and "complicated" are often used interchangeably, but they have distinct meanings, especially in technical or academic contexts:
Complicated
Definition: Something that has many parts but can be broken down and understood by analyzing each individual part.
Nature: Complicated things are often difficult to understand or solve, but they follow a set of rules or procedures that can eventually be worked out.
Example: A jet engine is complicated. It has thousands of parts, but with enough knowledge and effort, each part can be understood, and the system can be fully explained.
Key Idea: Complications can be unraveled through analysis or step-by-step breakdown. Once understood, complicated systems are manageable and predictable.
Complex systems involve dynamic interactions and emergent behaviors, making them harder to fully predict or control (e.g., weather, ecosystems).
Complicated systems are difficult to work with due to the sheer number of parts or steps, but they are ultimately comprehensible and can be solved through analysis.
In short, complexity deals with unpredictability and interconnections, while complication deals with sheer difficulty due to many parts or layers.
I Asked ChatGPT: How to use the differences between "complex" and "complicated" to create drama or comedy narrative. Give a few examples.
Response:
Using the differences between "complex" and "complicated" can create tension, misunderstanding, and humor in storytelling by playing with characters’ abilities to handle one but not the other.
Using the differences between "complex" and "complicated" can create tension, misunderstanding, and humor in storytelling by playing with characters’ abilities to handle one but not the other.
Comedy
Misinterpreted Problem: A character faces a complicated issue, like assembling furniture with convoluted instructions, but treats it as if it's a complex problem. They overthink simple steps, creating a comedic overreaction. ("I think this table is challenging my perception of reality.")
Overwhelming Complexity: A character skilled in solving complicated tasks (e.g., a genius engineer) is completely overwhelmed by a complex social situation. Their attempts to apply logic to relationships, which are inherently messy, result in awkward and funny moments. ("Why can’t I just run a simulation to fix our marriage?")
Using the differences between "complex" and "complicated" can create tension, misunderstanding, and humor in storytelling by playing with characters’ abilities to handle one but not the other.
Drama
Complex Relationships: A drama could explore a character who can solve complicated issues (e.g., a detective), but is helpless in the face of complex emotional dynamics. Their inability to navigate human relationships creates inner tension and drama.
Complicated Solution to Complex Problem: A character tries to resolve a complex situation (like societal unrest) with a complicated approach (like imposing more rules), leading to failure and escalating drama.
These scenarios emphasize the contrast between logical problem-solving and the unpredictability of real life.
👨🏾💻: Explain how a blockchain works using only “city infrastructure” analogies.
🤖: Blockchain Explained Through City Infrastructure Analogies
Imagine a vibrant city where the infrastructure and daily operations represent the components and workings of a blockchain network. This analogy will help demystify how a blockchain functions by relating it to familiar elements of city life.
Node Operators as Buildings
In our city, node operators are like buildings—be it towering skyscrapers, residential apartments, or public facilities. Each building houses occupants (data) and plays a role in the city’s ecosystem. Just as building managers ensure their properties are well-maintained and comply with regulations, node operators maintain their nodes, validate transactions, and uphold the blockchain’s protocols.
Transactions on the blockchain are akin to people moving around the city. When residents commute to work, visit the market, or attend events, they’re engaging in activities that require coordination and pathways. Each person’s journey represents a transaction being initiated and processed, moving value or information from one point to another.
Blocks as City Blocks or Shipping Containers
Think of blocks as city blocks or even shipping containers that group together several people or goods. In blockchain, a block bundles multiple transactions. Similarly, a shipping container holds numerous packages, and a city block contains multiple buildings and activities happening within its perimeter.
The network that connects nodes is like the roads and highways crisscrossing the city. These pathways enable people (transactions) to move efficiently from one building (node) to another. The quality and capacity of these roads affect traffic flow, much like network bandwidth and speed affect data transmission in a blockchain.
To keep the city functioning smoothly, regular city council meetings are held where representatives from different districts (nodes) come together to make decisions. This is analogous to the consensus mechanism in a blockchain, where nodes agree on which transactions are valid and which blocks should be added to the chain.
• Proof of Work (PoW): This is like requiring builders to complete a complex architectural design (solving a mathematical puzzle) before their building permit is approved.
• Proof of Stake (PoS): Here, developers who have invested more in the city have a greater say in approving new projects, reflecting their stake in the community’s success.
In blockchains using PoW, miners are like construction workers and building inspectors. They put in the effort to build new structures (blocks) and ensure they meet all the city’s codes and standards (blockchain rules). Once approved, these new buildings become part of the city’s landscape (blockchain ledger).
Cryptography as Security Systems
Cryptography in blockchain ensures data is secure and tamper-proof. This is similar to the locks, security cameras, and alarm systems that protect buildings and residents in the city. Each person has keys (private keys) to access their home, ensuring only authorized access.
Distributed Ledger as the City’s Public Records Office
The distributed ledger is like the city’s public records office or registry. It maintains an up-to-date, transparent record of all property ownership, transactions, and building permits issued. Anyone can access these records to verify information, promoting transparency and trust.
Smart Contracts as Automated Traffic Systems
Smart contracts are self-executing agreements coded into the blockchain. They function like automated traffic systems—traffic lights, pedestrian crossings, and speed cameras—that operate based on predefined rules without the need for manual intervention. For example, a traffic light changes colors based on timed rules or sensor inputs, ensuring orderly traffic flow.
Once an event occurs or a transaction is recorded, it becomes a permanent part of the city’s history, stored in the city archives. Similarly, blockchain records are immutable; once data is added to a block, it cannot be altered or deleted, ensuring a reliable historical record.
Forks as New Districts or City Plans
Sometimes, disagreements on city development lead to the creation of new districts with different regulations or architectural styles. In blockchain, a fork occurs when there’s a split in the consensus, leading to a new version of the blockchain that operates under different rules.
In this city, there’s no central authority like a mayor dictating policies. Instead, governance is decentralized, with decisions made collectively by the community (nodes). This ensures that no single entity can override the rules or manipulate the system for personal gain.
The city operates using its own currency, which residents use to pay for goods, services, and utilities. This represents the tokens or cryptocurrencies within a blockchain network, facilitating economic activity and incentivizing participation.
Gas Fees as Tolls and Service Charges
When residents use certain city services or infrastructure—like toll roads, public transportation, or utilities—they pay fees. In blockchain, gas fees are payments made to miners or validators for processing and securing transactions, ensuring the network remains functional and efficient.
• Buildings (Nodes): House data and maintain network operations.
• People Moving(Transactions): Represent data being transferred across the network.
• Roads (Network Infrastructure): Enable communication between nodes.
• City Council(Consensus Mechanism): Facilitates agreement on newdevelopment.
• Construction Workers/Inspectors (Miners): Validate and add newblocks to the blockchain.
• Security Systems(Cryptography): Protect data integrity and privacy.
• Public Records Office(Distributed Ledger): Keeps an immutable recordof all transactions.
• Automated Systems(Smart Contracts): Execute predefined actions without manual input.
• Community Governance(Decentralization): Empowers all participants equally.
• City Currency(Tokens/Cryptocurrencies): Fuels the economy within the network.
• Tolls and Fees(Gas Fees): Compensate those who maintain and secure the network.
• New Districts(Forks): Allow for innovation and adaptation when consensus can’t be reached.
This analogy illustrates how a blockchain operates by paralleling its complex technical processes with the everyday functioning of a city. Understanding blockchain through this lens makes the concept more accessible and relatable.

1/3🧵 Each person has their own personality, preferences, and ways of acting. But is a child entirely responsible for their actions and who they become, or is this entirely the parents' fault?
2/3🧵 I believe that a child is, most of the time, a reflection of those around them. The examples from those nearby, who are educating them, undoubtedly add characteristics to what a child becomes. Of course, there are cases where a child receives a good upbringing and turns out completely opposite to what they should be, but in most cases, the blame (or credit) goes to the parents. At least for part of their life, they will be a piece of clay to be molded by their parents.

I'm banking on LeoAI doubling the number of premium users, which means the buy back of $LEO token will be able to move the price upward by itself. I may be wrong, though.~
for sure! Khal would have to F up really hard to prevent Leo from growing. We are positioned very very well for the coming bull market. Will it go mainstream? It doesn’t matter. A 10-20x in both user base and price is EASY with what’s coming.
Basically all we need is another 10-20 people investing a few thousand into Leo for things to really start moving. It’ll snowball from there.

Elastic founder on returning to open source four years after going proprietary
Elastic founder and CTO Shay Banon explains why the company returned to open source, four years after going proprietary.
Licensing kerfuffles have long been a defining facet of the commercial open source space. Some of the biggest vendors have switched to a more restrictive “copyleft” license, as Grafana and Element have done, or gone full proprietary, as HashiCorp did last year with Terraform.
#technology #elastic #opensource #newsonleo
In a surprising move, Elastic, the company behind the popular search and data retrieval engine Elasticsearch, has decided to reverse its decision to switch to a proprietary license and make Elasticsearch open source once more. This decision goes against the trend of many companies abandoning open source and instead opting for proprietary licenses.
The company's decision to switch to a proprietary license in 2021 was due to a trademark dispute with Amazon's cloud subsidiary AWS, which was selling its own managed version of Elasticsearch.
The AGPL has greater restrictions, requiring any derivative software to be released under the same AGPL license.

We are barely at the point of creating AI knowledge.
California governor vetoes contentious AI safety bill
California Gov. Gavin Newsom on Sunday vetoed a hotly contested artificial intelligence safety bill.
California Governor Gavin Newsom on Sunday vetoed a hotly contested artificial intelligence safety bill after the tech industry raised objections, saying it could drive AI companies from the state and hinder innovation.
#ai #technology #california #newsom

The ongoing legal battle between Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, and WP Engine, a hosting service that utilizes the WordPress brand, has sparked a heated debate within the open-source community. T
The dispute began when Automattic's CEO, Matt Mullenweg, published a blog post criticizing WP Engine for disabling the revision history feature for its users, which Mullenweg believes is essential for data protection.
I better stay out of this one.

In war-torn Sudan, a displaced startup incubator returns to fuel innovation
Businesses need stability to thrive.
#newsonleo #sudan #startup #technology

Financial evolution will saturate with crypto or it will overshoot further with something new and more disruptive?
????
Decentraized finance is here to stay or something more disruptuive or sophisticated thing to come?
Not sure we are seeing DeFi yet. Wall Street is hijacking a great deal of crypto. Time will tell how this all pans out.
We are nothing without data. That is why decentralizing data is the major priority. From there, AI models and agents can be built tied to blockchain. That is the future of financial (and economic) activity.

Podcasting startup Podeo gets $5.4M to go beyond the Arab world
The UAE-based podcast distribution platform plans to explore new growth opportunities in Latin America, Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.
Podcast listeners crossed half a billion people at the end of last year as listenership maintained steady growth. With countries in the Arab world having some of the most engaged listeners, a podcasting startup out of Dubai is doubling down on the opportunity.
#newsonleo #podeo #podcasting #technology
Podeo, a pioneering podcast distribution platform based in the United Arab Emirates, has secured a significant $5.4 million investment in its Series A funding round to expand its operations in Latin America, Eastern Europe, and Southeast Asia. This latest development marks a major milestone for the company, which has already established a substantial following in the Arab world, boasting an impressive 50 million subscribers.
Podeo's journey began in 2015 when its CEO, Stefano Fallaha, a high school student in Beirut at the time, launched a side project called Fallound, an audio-based social network. Although the project failed to gain traction, Fallaha relaunched the company as a smart podcast aggregator that utilized machine learning algorithms to make personalized recommendations based on user preferences.
The company has also developed cutting-edge end-to-end production software to support creators, allowing them to audio edit, sound design, and mix their audio in a streamlined process. This innovative approach has enabled Podeo to stand out from the competition and establish itself as a leader in the region.
What sets Podeo apart from other podcasting platforms is its unique business model. Unlike many of its competitors, Podeo does not charge listeners a subscription fee and plans to eliminate creator subscription packages in the near future. Instead, the company relies on advertising revenue, which it believes will allow it to grow alongside its creators and empower them to monetize their content without limitations.
Podeo's decentralized approach to podcasting, which enables it to distribute ads across multiple channels, has given it a competitive advantage over international players like Acast. The company's focus on hyper-local approaches to supply, demand, and monetization has allowed it to address the needs of emerging markets and establish itself as a leader in the region.
Podeo's success is a testament to the power of authentic storytelling and community-building in the podcasting space. The company's innovative approach to podcasting and its focus on emerging markets have positioned it for continued growth and success in the years to come. With its latest funding round, Podeo is well-equipped to expand its operations and continue to shape the future of podcasting in emerging markets.
HungryPanda, a food-ordering app for the Asian diaspora, picks up $55M at a valuation of around $500M
The food-delivery app, founded in London and aimed squarely at Chinese and other Asian consumers living outside their home countries, has picked up $55M.
Apps catering to the Chinese and wider Asian diaspora, especially urban consumers focused on food, can be big business. HungryPanda, one of the trailblazing startups in that market, is now announcing more funding.
#newsonleo #hungrypanda #technology
HungryPanda, a pioneering food delivery app catering to Chinese and other Asian consumers living abroad, has secured a significant $55 million funding round. The company plans to utilize this capital to further develop its existing business and expand into new categories, such as groceries. As a result, HungryPanda's valuation has increased to around $500 million post-money, a substantial jump from its valuation of $289 million in 2020.
Founded in 2017, HungryPanda has established itself as the largest Asian overseas food delivery platform, rivaling other prominent players like Fantuan and FreshGoGo. The startup operates as a classic, three-sided, on-demand food marketplace, connecting customers with merchants and riders across 80 cities in 10 countries. With a strong presence, HungryPanda boasts an impressive customer base of 6 million users, 100,000 merchants, and 80,000 riders. The company is targeting $1 billion in gross transaction volume for this year, a testament to its rapid growth.
Notably, HungryPanda has achieved profitability, a rare feat for food delivery platforms. The company's success can be attributed to the dedication and hard work of its team, as well as the strength of its business model. According to founder and CEO Eric Liu, the company's focus on the younger demographic, particularly students, has enabled it to bypass some of the challenges associated with food delivery platforms. HungryPanda's "family-style" ordering model, where orders are doubled or tripled, makes individual deliveries more profitable.
The app was founded by Liu, who was frustrated by the lack of authentic Asian food options during his time as a student in the UK. He created HungryPanda to provide a platform for Chinese and other Asian consumers to order food from their favorite restaurants, with menus and information available in their native language.
HungryPanda's success can also be attributed to the growing demand for authentic Asian food among consumers. The Chinese diaspora alone is estimated to be over 50 million people globally, and there is a growing trend of consumers seeking out authentic Asian cuisine. The company's focus on catering to this demand has enabled it to capitalize on this trend.
The funding round was led by Mars Growth Capital, with previous backers Perwyn, Kinnevik, 83North, and Felix also participating. With this significant investment, HungryPanda is poised to continue its rapid growth and expansion into new markets, further solidifying its position as a leading player in the Asian food delivery space.

YouTube blocks videos from Adele, Green Day, Bob Dylan, others in dispute with SESAC
#youtube #Music #google #newsonleo #technology
YouTube has blocked music videos featuring several popular artists, including Bob Dylan, due to a dispute with the Society of European Stage Authors and Composers (SESAC), a performing rights organization that represents over 35,000 music artists and publishers.
The dispute highlights the ongoing challenges and complexities of copyright and royalty negotiations in the music industry.

DirectTV Will Buy Dish and Sling TV for $1 and a Bunch of Debt
The broadcasting industry landscape has changed significantly since the two satellite providers first tried to merge in 2002 and were blocked by federal regulators.
#newsonleo #directtv #dish #technology #entertainment
A Brief History of the Merger
The idea of a merger between DirecTV and Dish dates back to 2002, when EchoStar attempted to buy DirecTV from its then-owner Hughes electronics corporation.
Why the Merger Now?
The rise of other competitors, including streaming services and network-owned streaming services, has made it increasingly difficult for satellite TV providers to survive. The merger is nOW more about survival than creating a monopoly. DirecTV's CEO, Bill Morrow, stated that the company operates in a highly competitive video distribution industry and that the merger will allow them to work with programmers to realize their vision for the future of TV, which is to aggregate, curate, and distribute content tailored to customers' interests.
The Deal
As part of the deal, AT&T, which owns a 70 percent stake in DirecTV, has agreed to sell its shares to TPG, a private equity firm that owns the remaining 30 percent of the company, for $7.6 billion. The deal must still be approved by federal regulators, who under President Joe Biden have been particularly active on antitrust cases.
What Does the Merger Mean for Consumers?
Company executives have emphasized that the merger will increase, rather than hurt, competition for both television and wireless network customers. The deal is expected to provide U.S. wireless consumers with more choices and help drive innovation at a faster pace. EchoStar's CEO, Hamid Akhavan, stated that the merger will benefit DISH and EchoStar bondholders by creating two companies with stronger financial profiles and more sustainable capital structures.
Conclusion

The Challenge of Distance
Currently, sending space probes to the nearest star takes decades, and it would take 100,000 years to reach the other side of the galaxy. Even if we were to send back data, it would take another 100,000 years to receive it. This makes it difficult to study the galaxy in real-time. However, by using gravitational lensing, we can leverage the gravity of the sun to make a telescope 100 billion times more effective, allowing us to study objects on the other side of the sun. This technology would enable us to study the galaxy in real-time, without the need for decades-long journeys.
Solar Sails and Lightweight Telescopes
NASA has been working on a one-third scale prototype of the solar sails, which have already been built. A full-scale mission would weigh less than 50 kilograms. By using solar sails, we can achieve speeds of 20 times faster than current technology, allowing us to reach the outer reaches of the galaxy. This would enable us to deploy telescopes in a fraction of the time it would take with traditional propulsion systems. Additionally, the lightweight design of the telescopes would make them easier to launch and deploy, reducing the cost and complexity of the mission.
The Galaxy Monitoring Array
Imagine deploying one telescope for every solar system in the galaxy. This would enable us to constantly image objects in every solar system, providing a real-time view of the galaxy. To achieve this, we would need to improve the heat resistance of materials and develop more efficient solar sails. The Galaxy Monitoring Array would be a network of interconnected telescopes, working together to provide a comprehensive view of the galaxy. Each telescope would be equipped with advanced sensors and AI-powered data analysis software, allowing it to detect and track objects in real-time.
Mass Production and Deployment
SpaceX has already demonstrated the capability to launch thousands of Starlink satellites. With mass production, we could deploy millions of satellites, outnumbering the 5 million global cell towers. Why not go further and deploy billions of Starlink-sized space telescopes? The same mass of space telescopes as the world's cars would be approximately 200 billion telescopes, one for each solar system in the galaxy. This would enable us to study the galaxy in unprecedented detail, providing a wealth of data for scientists to analyze and learn from.
The Potential of the Galaxy Monitoring Array
The Galaxy Monitoring Array would provide a flood of information for AI analysis and learning, allowing us to study the galaxy and the universe in unprecedented detail. With this array, we could:
Conclusion
The Galaxy Monitoring Array is a vision for the future of space exploration, where mass production and deployment of lightweight telescopes and solar sails enable us to study the galaxy and the universe in real-time. With the potential to deploy billions of telescopes, we could gain a deeper understanding of the cosmos and unlock new discoveries. The possibilities are endless, and the future of space exploration has never been brighter.
NASA Nearly Bet It All on Boeing’s Troubled Starliner—Here’s Why That Changed
Ten years ago, NASA nearly chose a single spacecraft provider, a decision that would have left SpaceX out of the picture, and set the stage for a disastrously limited future.
It’s hard to imagine a more stressful version of the Boeing Starliner saga, but an insider’s look into a fateful meeting that took place 10 years ago reveals that things could have been much worse.
#nasa #teachnology #pace #starliner #boeing #spacex

SpaceX ship that will rescue astronauts docks with the ISS
The SpaceX spacecraft docked with the ISS one day after its launch from Cape Canaveral, Florida, United States, atop a Falcon 9 rocket. Astronaut Nick Hague and Russian cosmonaut Alexandre Gorbounov traveled on it.
The administrator of the American space agency, Bill Nelson, considered the launch successful. “We live in an exciting time of exploration and innovation,” he said.
#newsonleo #space #spacex
Save the astronauts. Boeing screwed this one up.
I get disappointed when I see news like this, as it hinders the development we are having in this area.
I didn't like at all the way the two astronauts have been treated so far.
By the way, the Mets made the playoffs.
Yeah! Finally! I found out yesterday because of the victory.
They deserved it, they worked hard for it.
It is a long season and they were resilient.
Now it is short season.
Politics is always involved with government money.
Well... government always gets involved in these things. Now I understand the reason for this delay.

Expanded Response in Comments.
The terms "complex" and "complicated" are often used interchangeably, but they have distinct meanings, especially in technical or academic contexts:
Complex
The terms "complex" and "complicated" are often used interchangeably, but they have distinct meanings, especially in technical or academic contexts:
Complicated
Summary:
In short, complexity deals with unpredictability and interconnections, while complication deals with sheer difficulty due to many parts or layers.
I Asked ChatGPT: How to use the differences between "complex" and "complicated" to create drama or comedy narrative. Give a few examples.
Response:
Using the differences between "complex" and "complicated" can create tension, misunderstanding, and humor in storytelling by playing with characters’ abilities to handle one but not the other.
Comedy and Drama ideas in comments.

Transactions as People Moving Through the City
Transactions on the blockchain are akin to people moving around the city. When residents commute to work, visit the market, or attend events, they’re engaging in activities that require coordination and pathways. Each person’s journey represents a transaction being initiated and processed, moving value or information from one point to another.
Blocks as City Blocks or Shipping Containers
Think of blocks as city blocks or even shipping containers that group together several people or goods. In blockchain, a block bundles multiple transactions. Similarly, a shipping container holds numerous packages, and a city block contains multiple buildings and activities happening within its perimeter.
The Network as Roads and Highways
The network that connects nodes is like the roads and highways crisscrossing the city. These pathways enable people (transactions) to move efficiently from one building (node) to another. The quality and capacity of these roads affect traffic flow, much like network bandwidth and speed affect data transmission in a blockchain.
Consensus Mechanism as City Council Meetings
To keep the city functioning smoothly, regular city council meetings are held where representatives from different districts (nodes) come together to make decisions. This is analogous to the consensus mechanism in a blockchain, where nodes agree on which transactions are valid and which blocks should be added to the chain.
• Proof of Work (PoW): This is like requiring builders to complete a complex architectural design (solving a mathematical puzzle) before their building permit is approved.
• Proof of Stake (PoS): Here, developers who have invested more in the city have a greater say in approving new projects, reflecting their stake in the community’s success.
Miners as Construction Workers and Inspectors
Immutable Records as Permanent City Archives
Once an event occurs or a transaction is recorded, it becomes a permanent part of the city’s history, stored in the city archives. Similarly, blockchain records are immutable; once data is added to a block, it cannot be altered or deleted, ensuring a reliable historical record.
Forks as New Districts or City Plans
Sometimes, disagreements on city development lead to the creation of new districts with different regulations or architectural styles. In blockchain, a fork occurs when there’s a split in the consensus, leading to a new version of the blockchain that operates under different rules.
Decentralization as Community Governance
In this city, there’s no central authority like a mayor dictating policies. Instead, governance is decentralized, with decisions made collectively by the community (nodes). This ensures that no single entity can override the rules or manipulate the system for personal gain.
Tokens/Cryptocurrencies as the City’s Currency
The city operates using its own currency, which residents use to pay for goods, services, and utilities. This represents the tokens or cryptocurrencies within a blockchain network, facilitating economic activity and incentivizing participation.
Gas Fees as Tolls and Service Charges
When residents use certain city services or infrastructure—like toll roads, public transportation, or utilities—they pay fees. In blockchain, gas fees are payments made to miners or validators for processing and securing transactions, ensuring the network remains functional and efficient.
Summary
• Buildings (Nodes): House data and maintain network operations. • People Moving (Transactions): Represent data being transferred across the network. • Roads (Network Infrastructure): Enable communication between nodes. • City Council (Consensus Mechanism): Facilitates agreement on new development. • Construction Workers/Inspectors (Miners): Validate and add new blocks to the blockchain. • Security Systems (Cryptography): Protect data integrity and privacy. • Public Records Office (Distributed Ledger): Keeps an immutable record of all transactions. • Automated Systems (Smart Contracts): Execute predefined actions without manual input. • Community Governance (Decentralization): Empowers all participants equally. • City Currency (Tokens/Cryptocurrencies): Fuels the economy within the network. • Tolls and Fees (Gas Fees): Compensate those who maintain and secure the network. • New Districts (Forks): Allow for innovation and adaptation when consensus can’t be reached.

#threadstorm #outreach
2/3🧵 I believe that a child is, most of the time, a reflection of those around them. The examples from those nearby, who are educating them, undoubtedly add characteristics to what a child becomes. Of course, there are cases where a child receives a good upbringing and turns out completely opposite to what they should be, but in most cases, the blame (or credit) goes to the parents. At least for part of their life, they will be a piece of clay to be molded by their parents.

It is not surprising that humanity fears #ai. After all, we fear ourselves.
Interesting point. Now I understand why you said ai is a reflection of humanity. And it's true, we fear ourselves.
When one does a deep dive into what is taking place and the search for "consciousness", it makes for some interesting discoveries. We are see a replica of ourselves in many ways.
Hahaha, very funny friend. A lot of meaning in it anyway
The fear of the unknown. Every generation has its own. TV was going to run us all, computers were going to take all the jobs. Internet was going to corrupt the world. For a few examples.

I think the price of $LEO will eventually improve considering all the new features that are coming. #feedback #leo #freecompliments #bbh
I'm banking on LeoAI doubling the number of premium users, which means the buy back of $LEO token will be able to move the price upward by itself. I may be wrong, though.~
https://inleo.io/threads/view/selfhelp4trolls/re-leothreads-2sybtaogl
Totally agreed. I'll be surprised if the userbase at least didn't triple by this time next year.
Repeat micro-trading is profitable:

Doing micro-trades won't make you that emotional, and at the same time, it does not attract attention. When emotion gets in the way of trading, the typical outcome is loss. #cent #bbh #freecompliments

Senator Lindsey Graham called Kamala Harris a crazy liberal
#Politics #news #us #harris
✍️The Republican senator had harsh words for Kamala Harris' policies. The politician thinks the vice president is a crazy liberal.
✍️Graham's remarks came in the wake of Donald Trump's recent rally. The presidential candidate said from the stage that "Joe Biden became mentally challenged and Kamala was born that way.
✍️Graham for his part doesn't claim that Harris herself is insane: he doesn't doubt the vice president's mental capacity. Except that her policies, the senator says, are insanely liberal and destroying the country.
✍️Graham also said that the Biden administration is "paralyzed by fear of Iran" while Israel is single-handedly and yet successfully solving its problems. Allegedly unwilling to allow escalation, Democrats are instead throwing the world into the fire, the senator believes.
✍️Graham is confident that if Trump is elected in the upcoming elections, he and his team will fix things quickly.

A lot of people find it very easy to forgive a complete stranger than forgiving a friend and I believe it all beat down to the expectations we have on people who are very close to us.
We don't expect them to betray us at any point in life, they really should know better.
