Yes you could be right.. However i'd only find a few holes in your thought process. The first would be well hive technically i'd still consider Steem because it's pretty much the same community.
So here's a few marketing issues i kinda get from jump the first being back in 2017 steem which i have to say is hive same think tank same community. Had a market cap of billions of dollars and it had some big influencers with millions in followers all over the place making really good money.
After that Hive in becoming hive from steem had one of the biggest marketing events in history.. or a big event in crypto where the entire space was focused on it and it was the justin sun takeover.. everyone from vitalik to john mcafee jumped in.
So i wanna ask you this question. That kinda put me on the idea of then people know about hive. Alot of people and they know they can make money risk free just trying. My question is if hive had these big million follower personalities.. they had dan pakman.. the crypto twins and the anarchist and umm they had a few indirect celebrities in the music business.
Why aren't those people still here? Why aren't crypto communities talking big about hive although they know about it. i would have to get an understanding of those situations. if i did then maybe it could help identify what exactly the problem is. Honestly i don't know what it is but it's a big confusing as i do agree there does seem to be some breakout growth but maybe that's just from existing old money that knows about hive and uses it as part of their investment portfolio. However is that really set to create enough growth? i don't know. i certainly don't claim to have all the answers or be ready to make all the judgements. However i would say that i think it would be a good idea to explore some of that history in an effort if it is a problem to find out why. Then find out if we can do anything about it. i just hope in 5 years its not us singing the same tune.
however it could also follow that maybe hive is meant to slowly grow overall with cryptocurrency. then maybe in 10 years it does catch up and works well. or maybe it just is like doing this white dwarf thing and slowly bringing out awaiting new and fresh competition to take over. So i don't know but i will be observing.

Cuz we aren't very big. There is not a lot to pluck from here yet. You still have to invest
a lot here to get huge upvotes, for the most part. And that formula doesn't work as much anymore The formula here is not based on any advertising or "thumbs up" algorithm they can hack. And it's too much of a guessing game on getting followers. It's just not something they understand or want to fuss with. So they leave.
