Don't forget that HIVE is a Crypto!!
Vitalik is active on Twitter.
Dan Larimer is active on Twitter.
CZ is active on Twitter.
Even Justin Sun is active on Twitter.
These people are smart and they understand the power of Twitter.
I know some HIVE witness are active on Twitter and most of our community is active on Twitter. Special Thanks to LeoFinance, 3Speak, Splinderlands, Dbuzz, DApplr for being active on Twitter.
If you don't own land in Mexico, You probably don't care if the price of land in Mexico goes down.
If you're sold most your lands in Mexico, you probably don't care if the price of land in Mexico goes down.
I know so many people worked for Steemit.inc but not here with our HIVE community now. I noticed Ned was never active on Twitter and I was stupid not to know he is busy finding buyers for his stake.
I know most people have put lot efforts to develop our HIVE ecosystem and some of them are still here and some of them are left.
Wouldn't be nice to see all the HIVE witnesses allocate some time to represent HIVE on Twitter.

100% agree Nathan. It's counterintuitive to some, but in order to grow web3, we need to leverage the exposure from web2.
We just added this to the https://leofinance.io UI today in order to make it easier for users to tweet out their content. All you have to do is check yes and then hit publish. From there, it populates a tweet with the first sentence + tags on your Hive post and then you press confirm to tweet it. It's that simple and we hope it gets more users to regularly tweet their Hive posts - especially those who don't want to spend much time on Twitter 🦁

Moving people from web2 to web3 will be gradual process that's we need more people and project to represent HIVE on Twitter to build a solid foundation with the long term mindset.
New LeoFinance UI is amazing and It's nice to have these options alongside @Poshbot

Thanks :)
The more exposure, the better. We'll continue to do everything in our power to grow LeoFinance and Hive.
P.s. we're launching a new onboarding feature next week that I think you'll be really excited about 😉 hope to see you using it to onboard the masses to LeoFinance x Hive blockchain

Super excited!!

oh this is clever - well done @leofinance!!
Why am I not using Leo? Cos the finance word deters me (and many) who aren't sure we'd ever fit in well there. Maybe you could write some posts about the softer edges of Leo and what kind of content you like-reward?
I agree about skin in the game and being active on social media. But only twitter? nah. My Crazy for Crypto people here in Thailand are busy on telegram and other platforms, using private groups. In fact, quite a lot of crypto people are ethically opposed to using twitter - more so since the US election debacle. Networking naturally is the best way - it oozes authenticity and THAT brings questions. People ask me constantly about how-why I earn for my Hive content, which I share to facebook and Linkedin. I don't try to sell anybody, cos most people hate being sold to.
We just have to be upfront and authentically share. And yes, I agree not only witnesses but community leaders need to be active. I'm always excited to see how @enjar engages on twitter in such a natural way without selling anything... and he's effective.
We need REAL STORIES about how Hive has already changed and fixed things. Not how it will-could, but how it did. Cos that's the basis of marketing - success stories, naturally and readily shared. Spamming the #HiveFixesThis slogan inappropriately? Just no.
It would make a great next challenge from @theycallmedan - how current active users have fixed things with Hive - whether it be me or someone in Venezuela buying groceries for my kid during covid lockdown with HBD, or someone in Nigeria documenting important political content. Maybe @eddiespino could pass this along?
I do agree people need to find the niche areas that work for them. For some that is Twitter and if that is working for them they should keep it up. Long-term the highest earners on Hive will not be due to the reward pool but opportunities they have created for themselves.
There is and has always been issues without short-term financial incentives most are just unwilling to go out beyond our bubble in trying something different. Far too many see having to spend time on anything other than writing content as taking away from their earning potential in the short term. This is sadly a result of the 7-day cycle and people only earning from their content from those who have Hive staked to vote their open content.
With the recent massive censorship going on many are just reseeding back to Hive only services such as microblogging with a few other dozen people. They seem to just go out onto Twitter and elsewhere to spam the HiveFixesThis. For those not already on Hive, they are going to Parler where we don’t seem to have any ground on.
Long term I have always expected some of these web 2.0 sites that we can take traffic and users to become quite hostile towards us. So far we have been decently lucky with only a few major takedowns. When people realize they could get banned they start not wanting to put effort into things. I knew a few who no longer seem to put any energy into anything that could be seen by the outside world.
To date the most successful onboarding opportunities that I’ve been involved in have been:
I engaged with a Twitch streamer who was giving Hive a try with written content. He joined a discord I was running at a time and ended up asking if he could share our discord with his 100 live viewers. He didn’t want to run his discord and yet wanted a place for a few of his fans to engage with each other.
This created an environment for some to discover there is some amazing gaming content from places they have never heard about. Many themselves always wanted to give writing content a try but didn’t want to spend the time on making websites.
Another big one has been when I play online games that have alliances/guilds/whatever to join. People often talk about hobbies and other things outside of the game. People find it fascinating to hear about something new that they can give a try.
Finally, discussing in private chatrooms about blockchain games on Hive usually all without sharing a referral link. Over time I have realized it’s just not worth trying to push a referral link included with any kind of onboarding or invite link. When people feel like you are trying profit from them joining they become quite turned off. Not to mention many big spenders don’t want to feel like they are being tracked via an affiliate link.
!ENGAGE 15
It's logical that for a decentralized environment there is no ONE way for anything. We DO have to be authentic, stop with the spamming and tell real life stories. Share the breadth of the content and play for the long game.
I have the referral link on the bottom of my posts and that's it. No one wants to be "sold" to. In fact, it creates a resistance. The community thing needs to be authentic - we all resist others using us for their profit.
I think you've really touched on an important thing here that people can create their own presence on Hive without needing to build a website. They can create a community, and identity and a following, and share that content to web2 whilst preserving and protecting that content onchain. THAT is a very sexy story if you're a homeschooler, an anti-vaxxer or an alternative lifestyle person not buying mainstream government controlled narrative about anything. It's also great for things like gambling (as we see with slot games and poker) and fringe content like erotica.
Pondering this some more.... thanks for the tokens. 😊
HIVE Witnesses, HIVE DApps founders, HIVE whales should leverage HIVETwitter to bring long term value to them and our HIVE Network.
Great points and good idea @artemislives, sharing real stories will get the attention of people more effectively. There was already a similar initiative by @sergiomendes called #HiveIsRealMoney and people shared what they have been able to buy with Hive. On this line I'm thinking of an initiative called #HiveStories where people can share their experience on Hive not only about money but about the whole experiences.
Hmmm some months ago there was an initiative called #HiveTestimony and it was basically this so maybe it can be done again with a twist. I'll think more deeply about this and pass the idea to @theycallmedan.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Thanks @eddiespino. Not sure about #HiveStories - maybe a bit vague? What about #HiveIRL? As in REAL situations and REAL stories about how-why people chose Hive and it performed-shone-delivered in a way other social media simply can't. I know that @HiveLatino and the #naija community have loads of stories about people USING hive and earning for what they used to do for free. Also about censorship.
Perhaps after the posts have been rewarded and done their 7 day stint, they could also be edited to create powerful ads for paid placement on other social media? Maybe we could invite individual Hivers to SPONSOR a paid ad placement for a week, and then reward them with x number of 100% upvotes? But the ads have to be cutting edge and real.
Initiatives which got up really matter too - developers who were ENABLED. Powerful stories for HiveTwitter.
Thanks for the response. !ENGAGE 15
You are welcome! And yes #HiveIRL sounds better and that way it can have that twist so it's different from the #HiveTestimony initiative.
Promoting with ads sounds interesting, I'm not an expert yet and not sure if those ads could be approved by the social media platforms but I will make my research and also pass these ideas to Dan.
Thank you for your helpful ideas!

Perhaps start with Brave and telegram re finding out what it costs to sponsor an ad? Usually they're very flexible and you pay for placement volume.
Happy to help. Anytime. Those of us running physical global businesses NEED to share those skills with Hive - too often the marketing ideas come from a theoretical place where they don't have a lot of legs or track record IRL.
Oh sounds good! Makes sense, Brave and Telegram already have many crypto users.
Please contact me through Discord: eddiespino#1698 if you want to talk more about this. You can also contact me on Telegram or Twitter as @eddiespino if those are better places for you.

tokens.I don't think Justin posts to Steem though ;)
Maybe we need a list of witnesses on Twitter that we can check out and support. I have started one. Let me know who is missing.
It's a matter of getting the right balance of hype and enthusiasm.
Thank you for creating this List.
There are more.. I'll notify you via Twitter regular basis
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I should have known some of those :) Up to 24 now.
I agree! If we want to be noticed by crypto investors and general public, we need more presence in web2, specially Twitter because there we can find people that are already in crypto.
Other thing that I was thinking is that we don't hundreds and hundreds of users for Hive and or Leo to grow. As you have said if we could find ONE billionaire to join us. This way there will be a positive impact in the price and the community.
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
I'm certain our collective efforts will bring few Billionaires to invest in HIVE.
The first Billionaire will be the key. We can predict when but we can keep making continuous efforts.
This is true brother that these days twitter presence is much needed and we all should definitely add some action there for our hive. It will take the hive forward. Thanks
HIVE Need solid foundations of representatives on Twitter

It would be awesome if more people put more effort into twitter, and it would be awesome if some of our many communities took a little time to promote themselves on twitter.
Hive might be a tougher sell because it's a general social platform, but single-topic communities like LeoFinace, StemGeeks, CreativeCoin, Sports Talk Social and similar could all do themselves a favor by being very active on twitter.
Totally agree with you.
Twitter also provide every HIVE stake holders a opportunity to connect with other crypto and no crypto leaders/proejcts.
HIVE + Twitter is a winning strategy for HIVE
You're specifically right on that front, anyway Leo run a witness and is currently active. I'll vote for your witness since you've come out to put in for witness.
HIVE Governance should have strong competition and diversity.
to recruit/invite people to Hive, they first need to know about it. Best would be if people post about their hobbies/ interests on Hive and share on Twitter. So people can see how awesome our community is.

If we can collectively onboard a major Crypto person or Crypto Project to HIVE, It'll be a game changer
I agree.
But they will only come to Hive if we have competitive ( or better) earning solutions to web 2.0.
There are millions of readers, that use Hive for free. They don't even have an account. If these people would see ads, they would help to grow and bring in revenue.
At the moment we pay with inflation for readers, that don't even have a wallet/account.
If this change, hive earnings will also skyrocket and big influencers come with all followers in masses.
Facebook is making a mass jump to Parler. Its so sad that these people have no idea that they are not doing anything positive by doing that. We are missing a big potential there.
I have tried to sell some of my crypto friends that are on Facebook on Hive and they aren't biting. I don't really know what I can do better. I feel like sometimes even smart people can't be helped.
This doesn't mean I'm getting down on it. I just think that I'm not doing it right and would love to see what others are doing.
Let's keep telling people about HIVE.
Let's keep asking people to join HIVE.
It's all numbers game. Regardless of failures we should maximise to word of mouth marketing and HIVE Twitter movement.
It took one Justin Sun to buy the STEEM brand. We can collectively find Justin 2.0 who will take HIVE to the next level
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Tell them about Leofinance instead.
Forget Hive. Leofinance is a front end that allows all the same things as Hive with a much better UI and enhanced user experience.
Since they are all involved in crypto, they would fit in here to discuss crypto.

Good idea bro, it is our business to put in a bit time on Twitter in getting HIVE more exposure
Posted Using LeoFinance Beta
Our collective HIVETwitter movement lost bit of a momentum.
We need restore the momentum
Talking about that, I have lost momentum both on HIVE and Twitter, its been hectic with me of late but I'm always in for my bit of contribution to spread HIVE out there.
We've got to pick up strongly again and keep the momentum going.
It's okay to loose the individual momentum but we must make sure our community is keeping the momentum going
Twitter is definitely a great communication tool. You have proven, and those of us who follow you, that it is. Everyone in #hive should join this social network and become active in promoting our beehive.
Thank you for being one of those main promoters who are an example to follow. I send you a hug and my best wishes for the new week, dear @nathanmars. Count on me to continue promoting #hive to the world.
Thanks a million dear
Agree. The community should be developing the platform and marketing the platform out in larger pool where potential creators are. Keep going.
Learn to sell. Learn to build. If you can do both, you will be unstoppable.

Heard!
Hope they are not too busy.
Great wake up call
for anyone to pass on.
One thing for sure
#Leofinance is alive on twitter

Our community is grateful for LeoFinance.
We must understand that people follow binance founder CZ on Twitter more than they follow Binance's own Twitter account.
We need more HIVE representative on Twitter!!

Thanks for continuing to make Hive awesome.
Let's keep growing our HIVE Network
