RE: A BIZARRE COMPARISON!

Your perception of marriage as a business partnership is quite apt. It's funny how people think marriage is entirely about love. I don't blame many who get married solely because of it and subsequently file for divorce on the basis of "falling out of love". I rather blame the Romance and Rom-Com movies that make marriage seem far from the actual reality. Would you merge a business you have been working on for over 27 years with another's without proper investigation or digging? When conducting business, you need to vet the credibility of the other party. But somehow you jump into a relationship with your eyes closed and hope for the best. It didn't work.

I love how you saw this. I don't see me marrying for just love. A lot is required. I'm handing over my entire life. So jumping in blindly will not happen.

Soap operas and romance novels have shut their eyes. Marriage is a Lifetime of work not "happy-ever-after".

Disney movies make it end at "and they lived happily ever after". Even when I was 13 I always wondered about issues that would come after Cinderella married "the Prince". They never show you that part.

"Wahala" that's what comes. A lot of caution and Communications. Compromise and evaluation. Jeez. Ah. I will marry o! 😩🤧
