SpaceX sends more astronauts into space. They did so reusing the Dragon Rocket.
Are they lapping the field?

the thing very few people talk about is the refurbishment costs for the rocket. I think you should look into that but be careful with your sources because there are a lot of people that just praise Elon like a messiah and don't check the numbers

That's a good point and I believe we should always check the information for what it is rather than for who it's tied with.
That being said, I must admit I have no idea what that number is, but I would believe it's cheaper than building a new rocket from scratch. Isn't it?

you might find this video interesting:
people might call him an Elon hater but he states his sourcesThanks for the recommendation. It's a bit long and it's almost time for my D&D session so I'll save it for later and get back to you!

no pressure, you asked for a complicated question so I gave you a long answer in video form :P
I don't know whether or not to call the astronauts brave or not. I think I have seen way too much rocket crashes or failures lol.

That is true although that is with their mega rocket which is not the Dragon.
I think this one is well tested and pretty reliable.
But yeah, with rocket launches, there is a lot of flammable stuff you are sitting on. That can go boom at anytime.

And its even worth when it goes boom live on air. I can only imagine the chaos. I know they probably tested as much as they can but there are just so many factors it has to account for.

It really seems like they do not care about blowing up unmanned rockets. The way they react it is like "well we got a lot of data from that".
I guess it is part of the learning curve and the way to learn how not to blow up rockets is to blow up a lot of rockets.
I guess NASA did a lot of the same thing in the early days too.

That's sooo cool!
I didn't know they can get to the space station in just under 24 hours. I thought it was a longer trip.

Nah it isnt that far. It is still relatively close to the Earth.
I dont think even the moon is really that long in terms of time. Mars, that will take a while from what I read.

Yeah, I did some research after that and, in terms of space travel, the Station is just around the corner...
The moon is also relatively close, as you said, and it only takes a few days to get there.
Mars is indeed very far and it takes months to get there with our current technology.

What are your thoughts on plasma propulsion?
Do you think that is something that is going to come to fruition. Some believe that will be possible by the end of this decade.
