I agree with you, on both counts. Although I am not sure it will advance quickly enough for me. I need them to get going and soon if I am to benefit a great deal from things. I might be on the wrong side of that technological curve.
Amazing what 10 years means. I think those in their early 40s and under are in good position. Those 50-60, very iffy; above that, not likely going to see much chance of radical extension.

I would definitely want to live to 120 under those conditions. Assuming we'll be in a crypto world, imagine the possibilities.
It's hard to come up with a number of years I'd like to live if I could be healthy and mobile. I'm very curious and I really like to study so I guess I'd be using the time to learn everything I ever wanted to. I guess eventually the curiosity about what's on "the other side" would make me want to go but I don't really know when that would be in years.

If there is anyone out there like me who has Ampleforth sitting on an Exchange and is dismayed by being told you can't claim FORTH (supposedly not available to Exchange wallets) there is hope! I just read an article that gives the details how to get around this.

Has anyone seen the emergence of the new age Defi on Binance chain. Have a look at our glass and safemoon concept.
Not sure if these tokens will moon but their set up is definitely a change to traditional staking and APR. Also increases safety amongst defi participants.
Reduction in transaction fees in Binance chain means an increase on slippage so projects can automatically add a fee that is able to be distributed to token holders. This is more incentive to stake and less to sell.
I think a great future model and it will cause BNB to retain 3rd position. Is it 3rd yet?

I didn't jump in with much. Just 0.08 BNB. I didn't have much to spend. My injection went into CUB this week. Low prices is winning atm.
I broke my play money to pop in a few dollars.

I'm with you. I put in like $50. Just going to let it ride. I'm tired of seeing these tiny things start below a penny and trade there for two years and then all of a sudden they run to like 25 cents down the road, without me in them. lol $50 time 1000x is $50k. 10,000x is $500k. Worth the $50 flyer in my opinion. Now 2.1 Quadrillion tokens is a little absurd but...lol

While I was taking a break, I read this and it reminded me I wanted to get some. I just bought 0.015 BNB worth.
Buy it at Pancake Swap. But you have to rest slippage to 12% as the take up front percentages.
I will be very, very happy if this can just get to $0.01.

I've been using Pancake to make three different Liquidity tokens. Only difference, after I made them I immediately withdrew them for deposit on Harvest Finance. I don't think I paid more than $0.18 for any of the transfers out of Pancake.
PS: Cub is easier to use, but for some things I just couldn't ignore the yields on Harvest.

I have personally tried other DeFi platforms after using Cub Finance and I thought it would be easier to go through them but NO. For me, there are many steps and each of them requires a decent amount of fee which adds up to so much that I cannot afford.
So I am sticking to Cub Finance for now!

BSC has been doing some strange stuff. I got one on Cub which said that I didnt have enough. It wanted to charge me like 5 BNB to transact.

According to @klye, it will be a couple months at least.
He is working through the Hive.loans first since that is the priority. Once that is up and going, at least open to public testing, he might be able to focus a bit more on the HSC.
A lot of it depends upon the proposal he submitted getting funded. It is not right now (as far as I know) and that is something that could help hasten the pace. It would allow him to bring in other devs to help out.
Anyway, at this moment I am going to say we have to expect the slow road which might be in about 3 months. Hopefully thinks fall into place.
If he pops in here, I am sure he will provide an update or everyone. He is good about doing that.
Also, if you want, ask any questions about it and tag him. He is very open about the plans for it, what he envisions, and even the challenges.
If you know Klye, he doesnt mince words. In other words, you know what he is thinking. LOL

It was planned to launch Hive.Loans on top of HSC but due to not being able to pay my buddies to bring them in to tackle the dev work as a team I'm currently working on getting Hive.Loans ready to start an online beta phase, with limits in place to prevent HUGE amounts of capital finding it's way onto the site before proper launch, firing up here soon.
I'm a bit behind on my week ago "in a week" target. A number of last minute additions of functions coupled with my work hours being all borked up is the root of this. Pulling 16+ hour days trying to get everything ready for beta testing.
Mobile is going to be fucked on this first beta release. It wasn't focused on much during development and will need to be fixed up here in the weeks after beta testing starts, not ideal nor intentional, just one of those things that slipped the cracks while focused on other stuff.
Appreciate the honourable mentions and spreading of awareness of the project.. I think once it's up and going and people are able to see the fintech and financial tools being included they'll likely be incredibly interested.
Toying with the idea of referral links here tonight.. Thoughts?
If I have already heard good things about him, I will be more aware of what he publishes so as not to miss the new thing that is coming.

For those who do not know it, it is a web app that is not a Hive dapp (since it does not post anything on the Hive blockchain); it only accepts and pays out HIVE. You deposit HIVE there, then wager them (at least 1 HIVE) per game where you answer IQ questions, and you get 10% to 14% of your wager depending on the game mode. If you give a wrong answer, you lose all of your wager. It does not look like a gambling site since there is much skill involved to win. 🤓

People either run out of money, interest, or get frustrated.

There have been many discussions in the past few years about why people are into crypto. Some are in it for the quick gains, others because they hate the current financial system, others because they are bored and might as well put all that spare time to good use. It's like all the dudes that live in the friend zone of a hot chick, some say she is funny, others that she has a nice personality. Of course all these arguments might be valid to some extent but they don't offer the full picture.

I think there is an idea for a project like that already. It's supposed to be named Hive.Hustlers or something like that... It's by that same group that created that Hive shop (forgot the name though).
They told me some time ago that they were going to get the shop done and then work on the marketplace for services. Not sure if that's still on the table though.
Either way, I support the idea of having such a marketplace. I really think it would be very good for the community and maybe I would even offer some consulting services myself.

Keep in mind this is the first time they have gone this route and released things.
Each time before they reviewed it themselves. They also said they are willing to give more, like up to 6 minutes before the crash, to a third party to review.

I think it can help if you are outdoors, but if you are indoors I don't think there is such thing as a safe distance. I was reading another article some time ago about how the virus can spread with time while indoors and if the room is on the smaller side, the whole place can be taken in a short time.

Wyoming is already regulating, in a way that opens up the doors for a lot of things. Of course, the Feds have no obligation to listen to what any of the states say.
However, the more states that start trying to get into the game, the better. The fact that the Mayor of Miami is pushing so hard could be a positive. I havent heard of any statewide support but the guy is a go getter and he will stand on the Governor's desk if he has to.
Need a big state to do something. Florida is that. We know NY and California are on the sidelines on this one and havent heard anything out of Texas.

The debt that is around the world is strangling the global economy. It is bad in the United States because we are falling so far behind the historic curve. Crypto is actually a means to freeing up the cash to innovate. Of course, the government is going to try and squash that.
Either way, we just have to keep building and developing since the economy looks like it is going to be mired in the same 1%-3% range it was for the last decade+.

The R&D always outpaces the implementation.
Consider how much work needs to go into rolling out a new G network. It has to take years.
Of course, they expect 6G to make an appearance starting in 2028 (or thereabouts). So it is something they have to get on.
By that time, much of the world will be on 5G so an upgrade will be needed.
It all keeps flowing forward. Every decade, roughly, we get a more advanced communication system.
Just wait until they start working on 7G.

It won't. It's here to stay, just like the flu and the common cold (which is also a Corona-Virus). It will mutate and change and some variants will be worse than others. It's served it's purpose by becoming a political weapon for big government to take more control but it will be used again when the current governments get swept out of office in two and four years (provided they're not able to change enough laws to maintain their grip).
Masks are here to stay and I don't necessarily think that's a terrible thing. At some point they'll become more optional but I think they've permeated society enough that it won't be "weird" for people to wear them. Plus, the real positive data on other things like influenza will probably keep them relevant enough that a certain percentage of the population will continue to wear them. The "shaming" of non-maskwearers is ridiculous though.
People just need to be healthy. Stay hydrated, get enough sleep, take vitamin D if you're not getting outside enough. Things people should do anyway. This just adds another reason and consequence if you don't.

That's a tough one... I'm trying to remain optimistic but some experts say we will never really get rid of it. We will able to keep it under control but it's gonna stick around forever, so they say.
We still don't know much about the long-term effects of the vaccines and that could be a major factor.
Also, some countries are way behind on a vaccination plan so, even if the vaccines prove to be very effective in containing the virus, countries like Brazill, for example, will have to live with the virus for a while before they can get a significant portion of the population vaccinated.
I find the mask debate an interesting one. I will not continue to wear them once it's ok to do so but a lot of people I know already told me that they will keep wearing masks on some occasions even if there's no imminent threat on the air.
A friend who is in the food business told me that in his restaurant, employees will always be instructed to wear a mask, even when the COVID situation is over. That applies to managers, hosts, waiters, and, of course, people who work in the kitchen. In his opinion, that should be the standard for the industry.
I understand his reasoning but I don't see that happening, especially when you think about high-end fancy restaurants.
I think the mistake that many people are doing is resorting to treatments that have absolutely no proven effectiveness. I don't know how that situation is on the rest of the world but here, the government went against the recommendation of the health experts and started to push some ineffective medicine to treat COVID. A lot of people followed the president's recommendation blindly and now we know that, not only that medicine had no effect on COVID but also studies suggest that it actually aggravates the condition of the ill.
I know you said to leave the government out of it but it's very hard in this case lol

It seems interesting but I don't know how well it will play out. I think I heard a few stories about how installing solar and other stuff makes it hard to sell the house but I don't know if it has changed.

Tech has been developing fairly fast and it is the biggest disruptor in society. So yea it has definitely changed both our lives and made prices more competitive.

Done! Almost all of us have benefited through sharing economy. I wouldn't have survived lockdown without some of these applications which bring convenience to my fingertips.
