Leofinance is morphing into something much bigger than it was orginally planned. This can be seen in the fact that we are dealing with microblogging. This was something that was part of the evolution.

2/ We are now seeing ideas percolate that can take things to a higher level. Ad revenue is a model that is going to keep being added to. LeoThreads appeals to a broad section of users since it is general topic based.
I just wonder why not other dApps contemplate d idea of ad revenue in their portal. Don't u think relying on DHF in d long run is counterproductive? Each dApp in this ecosystem in time should become independent to enrich the Hive as a whole
I do agree with your assessment but most take the easy path. If the DHF is going to keep doling out money, they will take it.
I have a feeling that once the ad revenue gets going, others will copy it.
External revenue is the reason for a strong $LEO in its PA even during a bear market. A strong use case always defeats external factors.
It is crucial to bring money in from the outside. So on this end of things, I think the team is wise. It will help to keep feeding the ones who have stake. The buying by the bot is the first level, the fomo from users is the other.
Like most things in crypto, it is a monkey see, monkey do. So if Leo is having success, others will try to follow suit.
I wish they do follow Leo sooner, that's better for them as well as for the Hive ecosystem.
Yes. Well my guess is that the ad revenue smart contract probably goes live in the next couple (or few) months. Then we will see what excitement that generates.
3/ We are also tied to a blockchain that has a number of features on it. In keeping with the everything app, we can incorporate them in, to enhance the utility of Leofinance. The internal exchange is one example.
4/ Then we can look at other options to enhance the appeal of Leofinance to more people. The days of talking on thousands are over. Now it is moving into the millions. Why are we trying to short change things?
5/ The fact is that, in the digital world, by thinking bigger we can achieve bigger results. The idea of 1M pageviews in a day might see huge but it is nothing on the internet. Neither is a $150M entity.
6/ Leofinance is an expanding platform. There is enormous potential here. We simply have to raise our expectations and get busy.
I see this is happening before our eyes. Given time and provided Threads scales, millions could become a reality.
Question: Have we reached 100 000 Threads?
A number of factors. Obviously getting more from the people who are already on hive is vital. But there are other things in the works such as partnerships and other expansions to the UI.
All of that should have an impact upon the page views which feeds into ad revenue. I feel that once that starts, if price moves up, we know how that excites people and draws attention.
We might not like it but we cant deny that green candles and mooning tokens get attention. $LEO might be the biggest promotor in this.

I know there's been talk before of a rebranding (losing the Finance). Is that still being considered? I believe ads for finance related content usually pay multiples better than general ads.
I dont know if that is on the table. I know incorporating other aspects of Hive is in keeping with the everything app idea. I do believe you are correct, finance, money, banking type content gets better ad revenue typically on social med.
So keeping it is probably a good idea from that perspective.
I guess it just depends on whether the increase in per ad revenue offsets the limiter on user growth that "finance" may cause.
Yeah that is a spreadsheet problem for someone who has access to the numbers. I dont even know what the ad revenue looks like other than just guessing based upon the info we have publicly.
To be honest, on that thread (pun intended), having Threads as the banner to onboard people would be very useful. Even if it turns out to be the Everything App, it's a great marketing strategy because it's broad and simple.
Once onboarded, people can always dive deeper if they find something interesting.
Integration of multiple aspects of the community, as a whole, is powerful. The internal networking effect is also not to be underestimated. It's truly fascinating to see the future evolving before my eyes.
A bit off-topic, but I saw that someone with a large curation trail has been giving your posts very large downvotes over the past few months, usually after you receive most of your upvotes. What the heck happened (if you're willing)?
Just a whale who feels that I am overrewarded.
It is a curation trail.
That's what I figured. I think I know who's behind that one. That's very unfortunate because your posts genuinely provide a lot of value to the blockchain.
Yep. That is how things work at times on Hive.
Incorrect. Leo has nothing unique to offer to either web2 or web3. All of its features are on Hive, and a real competitor can overthrow it in mere months. I know you get paid to shill Leo, but being realistic is also important.
Don't listen to the haters lol
They all get upset that $LEO is succeeding. Been seeing a lot of them come out of the woodwork lately
