But I bet the steering costs a lot of velocity. That will (as you know) reducing it's effecacy at the other end. So to retain energy at the target, you would still need to be pretty accurate!

Yeah, there's not always a short cut. To be honest I like the challenge of learning to do things well, and the confidence having the skill brings.

Also, these fancy toys are hard to find! Relying on your own skills is much wiser.

Yep...and if all else fails I can resort to my axe, sword and shield. It can be more fun too. Lol.

You are so crazy like me, LOL! I'm sharpening some katanas right now; and I have an axe from Fiskar!

But I'd have to run out of pew pews first....

I am a bit, sometimes. It keeps things interesting right? I've got a few Fiskars axes, pretty good quality, keep their edge and all. Good for cleaving things in twain. Lol.

A bit? Right now lots of crazy is better! It does allow for unlimited options....

The Fiskar products are top quality, and even when I'm trying to prep on a budget; some really good gear is still required. I did buy it on sale though, LOL!

Cleaving in twain like the black knight on Monty Python? Yup, that's what it's for! The katanas are supposed to be real, but they are a good copy; with many folded steel layers. It's good steel, and is beginning to show a nice edge. Once sharpened they will have to stay in the scabbard as much as possible, dangerous to handle....
