I'll save you some time, skip netflix and go straight to meditation on your own. I never had anyone teach me, I read a little about it, very little, and then started doing it at a young age. I had a lot of motivation to do so, but that's another story.
Simplest, easiest to do, is to sit comfortably, straight back, but relaxed. Focus on your breathe and follow it in and out. If your mind strays, gently bring it back to your breathing. Expect your mind to stray and run like a hamster. Don't try to stop thoughts, that's not going to happen and is not the point of meditation. Instead, relax and watch the thoughts pass in and out of your mind while you observe them but refrain from following them. Kind of like watching clouds go by in the sky, your thoughts being the clouds, as an example. It's all practice, so don't put expectations on what it should be, just keep at it.
