Każdy artysta (aczkolwiek nie wiem czy mogę tak o sobie powiedzieć) prędzej czy później napotyka na swojej drodze moment, w którym kreatywność zdaje się znikać. Siadasz przed pustą kartką, trzymasz w dłoni narzędzie, którym kiedyś tworzyłaś z pasją… i nic. Przez długi czas zmagałam się z takim właśnie uczuciem – jakby coś we mnie zablokowało potrzebę tworzenia. Jednak w pewnym momencie zrozumiałam, że jedynym sposobem na przełamanie tej blokady jest po prostu… zacząć. Nie czekać na idealny pomysł, nie analizować – tylko wziąć cienkopisy i pozwolić ręce poprowadzić mnie w nieznane.

Every artist (although I don't know if I can say that about myself) sooner or later encounters a moment on his or her path when creativity seems to disappear. You sit down in front of a blank sheet of paper, hold in your hand the tool you used to create with passion... and nothing. For a long time I struggled with just such a feeling - as if something in me blocked the need to create. However, at some point I realized that the only way to break this blockage is to simply... start. Don't wait for the perfect idea, don't analyze - just pick up a thin pen and let my hands guide me into the unknown.
Tak powstał ten rysunek – portret postaci, która łączy w sobie zarówno delikatność, jak i mrok. Jej spojrzenie jest przenikliwe, niemal hipnotyzujące. Twarz pokryta cieniowaniem wykonanym techniką stipplingu (kropkowania) dodaje jej wyrazistości i głębi. Do jego stworzenia użyłam cienkopisów Faber Castell o różnych grubościach – dzięki nim mogłam uzyskać zarówno subtelne detale, jak i wyraźne kontrasty.
That's how this drawing was created - a portrait of a figure that combines both tenderness and darkness. Her gaze is penetrating, almost mesmerizing. The face, covered with shading done with the stippling (dotting) technique, adds clarity and depth. To create it, I used Faber Castell thin pens of different thicknesses - thanks to them I could get both subtle details and clear contrasts.
Sam wybór tematu nie był przypadkowy – inspiracją była dla mnie idea dualizmu emocji. Smutek i radość, mrok i światło, maska i prawdziwa twarz – wszystko to można dostrzec w postaci, którą narysowałam. Myślę, że w pewnym sensie jest ona także odbiciem mojego procesu twórczego – pełnego momentów zawahania, ale i przełamywania własnych ograniczeń.
The choice of theme itself was not accidental - I was inspired by the idea of duality of emotions. Sadness and joy, darkness and light, a mask and a real face - all this can be seen in the figure I drew. I think that in a way it is also a reflection of my creative process - full of moments of hesitation, but also overcoming my own limitations.
Ten rysunek to dla mnie symbol powrotu do rysowania (mam nadzieję). Dowód na to, że nawet jeśli wydaje się, że pasja gdzieś się zgubiła, zawsze można ją odnaleźć na nowo – wystarczy dać sobie szansę.

This drawing is for me a symbol of returning to drawing (I hope). Proof that even if it seems that the passion has been lost somewhere, it can always be found again - you just have to give yourself a chance.
