Photography Post #4 : SOWING FISH NETS

in OCD5 years ago

This photo is one of the photos that I captured when one of the vehicles stopped in the middle of a trip near the river in the Tangse area, Pidie Jaya. There was one of the fishermen who was spreading fish nets to make a living. Here are some photos that I have captured. Enjoy!

Welcome to hive zayn! I like that you’re posting on here, we certainly have a lot of content around photography.

These are wonderful pictures, my favorite one is the last one where the fisherman is driving the boat and you got a nice action picture with him heading right towards you.

One of the things I noticed is that since you’re new to hive, I would like to try to instill in you if we can! Talking with some of the people who have been here for a while, we remember one of the best things we did was find other people’s posts through others or go looking and start commenting meaningful things. If you drop small phrases it won’t get you much attention but if you look at a persons post and leave a great comment, a lot of times they will appreciate it and talk with you. If you continue to do this you will develop a friendship with them and will gain followers and grow your account. This is not an easy and fast process. It takes time but the more effort you put in the more you can be rewarded, with limitations of course.

I just say this in hopes you go out there and really connect with people and grow your account. The more we all do this, the more people will come here to take advantage of such a great place.

I could not have said it better myself.

Thanks man! (Stalking my comment? 😉 nah kidding I know you were looking through sections like I was looking for people to connect with and potentially help)

Lol, that is exactly what I was doing, and have been doing for some time. It is how I know who is real here, who is engaged, and who to support. I take it a little further, but that's for another time. I'll reveal more about that at a later date. (Not stalking, just observing.)

I am very pleased to see you say this and I agree completely. Relationships are so valuable here, and can often be very difficult to create. I think many new people come along and think it is going to be very easy but they forget, or neglect, the most basic of things...Connection. It is so important to connect here with people to build strong relationships.

It makes me happy to see people talking about it, actively promoting relationship-building through commenting and engagement. Thank you.

Thanks! I’m glad more of us are getting out there to connect with people. The best way we can make this place successful is to promote it to those who found it and are new but may be hesitant since they’re not getting traction. When I first started I posted a few things for weeks but didn’t really get anything good started until I did my own outreach and then it grew from there.

Do you happen to be signed up for the hive engagement league? There’s a lot of names on the list so I can’t remember them lol

Hello there. Yes, if all of the "older generation" here offered a little support each day, a comment or two on a new account I would imagine this place would become very active, very quickly. This is a small account, a little tiny one with no vote power, but it is quite amazing to see how thankful and happy people are to receive a comment. Although, I have noticed many of the larger or more established ones, can't be bothered to do so.

The funny thing is, one never knows who is watching. You know?

I am in the engagement league from this week as it turns out. I am hoping to make it in the top 100. Maybe look out for me when the results come out hey?

Thanks for responding. So kind. You are a quality individual I think. :)

That’s good I’m sure you’ll get in the top 50 if you keep it up. Somehow I manage to get in the top 20 lol.

It’s crazy but one of the accounts I commented on as my little standard introduction for people who are new, the guy ended up buying 100k hive because I was a nice first face to him and offered help and guidance! If that’s not a use case for how important it is to help people out I don’t know what is lol. I know it’s also a very rare case but like you said you never know who’s watching or on the other side of that. They could be someone with money to spend like him!

It’s a shame that some of the bigger accounts don’t bother. I found that to be the case when I was starting out. Going around to them and talking on their posts but I wasn’t in their circle of votes so they didn’t bother with me. Shame really.

That's an interesting story, and a good example of how a person can be affected just with a simple comment, a little encouragement and support. It's good to see that you are doing these things. There are small groups of larger accounts working to promote smaller users, but there are also concepts and groups that present themselves as doing it but are there only for their own gain. It's the way of hive, and the world. Greed. Unfortunately newer users sometimes get caught up and move forward with the wrong idea.

It's frustrating that most large accounts don't engage with the smaller much. They get busy though, doing back end stuff, but I think that could be a bit of an excuse too. Many are simply investors but wouldn't an investor want to value add to their investment? I would think so.

Anyway, each to their own. I know very clearly what will help drive my account forward, and hive in general, as do you, so let's do that and work towards setting a good example.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

I think it's interesting to capture people int heir everyday lives, just going about their day. I like the image of the man throwing the net from the front of the boat. I wonder if he caught anything to take to the market or home to his family. Are you a fisherman yourself?
