This run helped steevc burn 509.0 calories. @steevc just finished a 7.01km run, that lasted for 43 minutes.

Description from Strava:
This was a real contrast to Tuesday's run in the wet. It was colder, but I added an extra layer and headed out under blue skies. There had been a frost overnight and folk were scraping their car windows. The paths were fine though.

It was the usual Fairfield loop, so that meant getting up the hill. I was not quick, but I kept going. It is nice having it a bit lighter out there as the days get longer. It was fairly quiet, but I saw a couple of other runners including one lady I recognise from parkrun.

On the way down the hill I tried going quicker and managed a couple of kilometres under 6 minutes, which is good. I am definitely improving since I started running again. It is still hard, but then you tend to run at around your limits. I would have been slightly quicker if I had not taken a photo, but I like to have something to remember the run and conditions.

I was well warmed up when I got home. My blue long sleeve top looks thin, but it insulates well. I had gloves on too.

Podcast listening was Bad Voltage (talking about the US AI boost) and Somewhere On Earth (various tech topics). I saw a few birds around, but no squirrels.

I am quite pleased with my progress and hope to avoid injury for a while.

Run free!

Looks like it was a really nice run. I skipped the treadmill today and did some exercises on the Total Gym. I did do some jogging in place and then I tried to see how long I could hold a plank. About 30 seconds was my max :)

I expect you have it colder. I ought to do plank more as it's good for the core. I just had a try and lasted a minute. I am trying to build my press-ups and chin-ups too.

Very nice. I can't do any chin ups, so you have me there. When my shoulder isn't messed up I can do twenty to thirty push/press ups. I really want to work on getting my core tighter to help my back be stronger.

I can't do as many press-ups as I ought to. Need to keep increasing the number.

That's probably true for most of us!

Everytime I see you guys post about your awesome runs…I’m like “I should do that too”.

Then I sit down….

LOL! I expect you are on your feet a lot around the store. I sit down all day and need to get out there.

Yeah I am on my feet & moving around all day long at the shop. So I do get a ton of regular exercise throughout the work day. There’s that I guess. It’s definitely helped me stay relatively fit….for the most part. Lol

That's a lot of calories burned, almost equivalent to a one meal.

I run so I can eat what I want :)

That's a good strategy, I like the idea.
