Hello!
(This is Yesterday's post.)
I was driving around the countryside trying to figure out what to shoot.
And I came to a place called The Immilä Mill ("Immilän mylly").
I didn't shoot very many photos of the Mill itself, because something more interesting came up.
Not yet
I mean it literally came up, from under water...
It's an otter! With a fish!
An otter had caught a perch, and started having a dinner right in front of me.
Well, not very close in front of me, as you can see the photos are somewhat grainy and heavily enlarged. It was not midday anymore, so the light was already fading. And my gear is not the best when lack of light is an issue.
But I endured, tried a bunch of different settings to make things look better. Alas it couldn't be helped. My Canon 550D and "the worst Canon lens ever?" didn't perform very well.
I wonder if you can see the fangs of that thing. When I checked out the photos in the camera, I was glad that I didn't try to get closer. Even if it had meant getting better photos, I would not have liked to get bitten by it.
It was a nice day. I think I might try driving up there again. Perhaps take shots of the actual mill...
See ya!
