(ES/EN) 3Dart: treasure chest / cofre del tesoro

in Discovery-it4 years ago

Hi hivers! happy start to the week.
This time I bring you a short animation of a treasure chest. The idea occurs to me when I look at the Splinterlands Daily Quest Chest.

Hola hivers! feliz inicio de semana.
En esta oportunidad les traigo una corta animación de un cofre de tesoro. La idea se me ocurre al ver el cofre de las misiones diarias de Splinterlands.

Despite being a simple object, it has its grace to make the model, and that is that sometimes a compact object is more complicated than a character, in fact I had to do it twice because the first way I did it did not come out well.

A pesar de ser un objeto un simple tiene su gracia hacer el modelo, y es que a veces se complica un objeto compacto mas que un personaje, de hecho tuve que hacerlo 2 veces porque la primera forma en que lo hice no me salía bien.

This time I had a problem with the images that I was saving from the process, suddenly they were not there, I always list them and perhaps it gave an error with the previous images with the same numbering, but here are the ones that were saved.

En esta oportunidad tuve un problema con las imagenes que estaba guardando del proceso, de pronto no estaban, siempre las enumero y quizás dio un error con las imágenes anteriores con la mismas numeración, pero acá les dejo las que se salvaron.

That's a lot of bones, what was stopping just a hinge setup from working?

Nice work on the box :)

I was prevented by my inexperience hahaha, I have no knowledge of rig, I simply invent.
I have to find some tutorials about it.

Theoretically you could have just used a two bone chain and weighted the lid and the rest of the box to one bone each, and then just moved the lid bone :) I think there's also a way to do it without bones and using null objects instead but that one I'd have to play around with to see if it's worth the effort.

And then of course there's more complicated things you can do to make it easier to control if you were animating it or using it in a game but that might be overkill for what you were doing here :D

There is also the question of the influence of each bone and the mesh is deformed, I use many for that hahaha.

Use weight paint mode to adjust the vertex weights for each bone 🙃

I have to learn a lot, I have to investigate, I don't know anything about it

Ask if you have questions, if I can help I will :)

Thanks brother, whenever it is something specific I will take it into account, because something extensive is difficult to explain and understand in a comment XD
