Race time in Can Picafort and more or less the same distance as what I'll run on the 31st December at once of my favourite races. So this was time to try and test over (almost) 6,5 km
I wanted to start fast to see from which point is start to suffer and get in trouble to maintain pace. That moment came quite soon after less than 2km, but pace was high, about 3'35"/km. Two competitors passed me. I needed to slow down, there was an uphill later on which slowed me down as well so it did to the guy in front of me, which I overtook with less than 1,5km to go. At the same time nobody overtook me so either everyone was slowing down a bit, or I took the advantage in the first two kilometers.
This makes me to doubt for Tuesday. Start fast and try not to slow down too much or to start at 3'40"/km and to try to maintain?...
I'll sleep over it...
My son ran a fast race over about 800m and ended third. My daughter freewheeled through her 1200m and won her race and my niece participated but is not really used to run.
