Yes, you said that all so well. It does take determination and effort for us to be in control of our minds. However, when we do, there are many benefits to be achieved, as you'll be able to mindfully focus only on the things that matter, and that you have control over.
When you practice yoga with a holistic goal, then the benefits can be paramount.

I tried doing yoga several times.. But never been consistent, so obviously, I'm not getting its benefits 🤣.. Really a matter of commitment and discipline.
The good thing is that you can fall back into your yoga routine at any time. I was inconsistent for years and then I found a good schedule. Somehow along the way, I got deeper into studying the science behind yoga, and I think that elevated my practice overall. That was because I was able to apply the principles off the mat.
I have no doubt that you'll resume a practice at some point:)
