Football again

Another of this season's games. Přerov Mammoths this time against Znojmo Knights. (Czechia, of course.)

I've written several times that I'm not much of a sportsman - neither active nor a spectator. But lately I have fallen under the spell of American football. Unlike other ball sports, it is extremely action-packed, visually appealing and has atmosphere. Of course, other sports also have something to offer. For example, handball or basketball is also a dynamic and action-packed sport. Or water polo or hockey. But American football has the most charm for me. And I also enjoy the fact that players of all physical builds can find a place in it - both nimble "gazelles" and stocky "rhinos". That's not bodyshaming, that's just a realistic observation.

Další ze zápasů letošní sezóny. Přerovští Mamuti tentokrát proti znojemským Rytířům.

Já jsem už několikrát psal, že nejsem bůhvíjaký sportovec - ani aktivní, ani jako divák. Ale v poslední době jsem propadl kouzlu amerického fotbalu. Na rozdíl od jiných druhů míčových sportů je mimořádně akční, vizuálně přitažlivý a má atmosféru. Samozřejmě že i jiné sporty mají něco do sebe. Například házená nebo basketbal je taky dynamický a akční sport. Nebo vodní pólo nebo hokej. Ale americký fotbal má pro mě největší kouzlo. A taky mě baví, že v něm najdou uplatnění hráči jakékoliv tělesné konstituce - jak mrštné "gazely", tak i zavalití "nosorožci". To není žádný bodyshaming, to je prostě realistický postřeh.

Upon examining the close-up or portrait photos, it becomes quite apparent that not only are the athletes on the field actively engaging in the sport, but the fans in the stands are also enthusiastically enjoying the experience. From the expressions on their faces to the gestures of their bodies, it is evident that the excitement of the game has captivated them. The players' intense focus and determination, creating a vibrant and exhilarating atmosphere. The photos vividly represent the passion and joy that sports can bring both the participants and the spectators.

This match was full of twists and turns, once the home team won with a big lead, then the visiting team turned it around. However, a touchdown just before the end of the game finally gave the home team a well-deserved victory.

Z fotografií je zcela zřejmé, že si to užívali nejen samotní hráči na hřišti, ale také fanoušci na tribunách. Z výrazů jejich tváří i řeči těla je patrné, že je vzrušení ze hry uchvátilo. Nejen intenzivní soustředění a odhodlání hráčů, ale i energie a nadšení fanoušků vytváří živou a vzrušující atmosféru. Fotografie ukazují vášeň a radost, kterou sport může přinést jak účastníkům, tak divákům.

Tento zápas byl ostatně plný zvratů, jednou vyhrávali s velkým náskokem domácí, pak to hostující tým otočil. Nicméně touchdown těsně před koncem zápasu nakonec přinesl domácím zasloužené vítězství.
