Art Around town

I haven't done a post on some of the Art/ Graffiti/Murals I have come across here in New Bedford for a while, but I have seen this mural not to far from our house, and finally stopped to get a shot of it one morning when there were no vehicles parked in front of it, it replaces a previous Mural that had been there, I note on it t is signed by Murals on Tuesday and i think I found her on Farcebook but haven't heard back yet, so do not know the story behind it, but it is eye catching and colorful, i suspect it was perhaps commissioned by the company that owns the building but that is just a guess with no facts to base that one.

I wonder if people ever pose in front of the wings for a selfie, I thought about doing that but I hate taking photos of myself so didn't

I think this next one is off Acushnet Ave, I had this and the rets of the shots in this post for a while but didn't have enough for a post.

As you can see more clearly in the next shot it says Welcome to NEw Bedford and I do like the style of this, but not so much the tags people have added over it which takes away from the wall I think

Still on Acushnet Ave I came across this B&W piece, I think on the outside of a shop but not sure what the shop was about it had no signs or store front with details

this is the entrrance into that building, there was a bit of rubbish laying around ( which I edited out in Photoshop) and it didn't look to me like anyone had been in there for a while

I think they sold warm socks and burgers for aliens, but no alien came, so they had to close the shop 🤣 !LOLZ
I like the colour graffiti, not the tags, but somehow the monochrome aliens look cooler 👽

No black and white was fine it’s just me being silly what I meant was there was only black and white no other colors there so it was a natural black and white not edited

The wings and the entrance are you best ones :) however the entrance needs the bottom bricks decorated too.

PS I got out for a sunrise and sunset in the last couple of days had enough layers except for my hands but I ordered new gloves that arrive today, and once the swelling on my finger from a fall yesterday goes down I will be heading out again

I was doing yard work cleaning up all the fallen leaves and tripped over a silly accident lol

Yes I have a good mask fir when needed but I mostly use a scarf

Well not sure it could have been the rake and as it’s classic I blame that but thinking about it now I think I tripped on the power cord for a mulcher I was using and then went by the rake as I was trying to keep my footing and stay upright

Very interesting. That first one is quite pretty. It is too bad that people felt the need to tag over the other ones in the second one. It still has a lot of charm, but that kind of takes away from it.

I slipped while gardening yesterday and hurt my finger luckily nit broken but swollen like crazy I tore some ligaments so got to see a hand specialist next week and wear a stupid finger brace till then it’s driving me nuts !LOL

One cannot help but to appreciate the colorful graffiti especially as the winter season approaches and there are less colorful things to be seen outdoors. Glad you spotted these around New Bedford and shared them with us @tattoodjay
