FatherEarth stories. Story 1: Kithara

in Rising Star Game2 years ago (edited)

Hello, the Rising stars of Buskeria!

Let me get acquainted. I am FatherEarth, the leader of my future musical group from Buskeria.

I have been gaining experience and resources for a long time in order to create a group.
Our musical group is called "Children of Planet Earth".

You will not hear loud rock music from us, as well as modern songs.
No, our music will be the music of the Earth, the music of Nature! Our style is ETHNO-style.

The musical instruments of our group have an ancient history. They were born in cultures around the world.

When our group "Children of Planet Earth" is fully assembled, it will go on tour around the planet. You will hear our music, the music of planet Earth!

In the meantime, I'm getting my band together. I will definitely tell you about the band's musicians and their musical instruments.

I will begin my stories with my beautiful musical instrument, this is the KITHARA!

The Kithara is a very ancient stringed plucked musical instrument.

Kithara was very popular among the musicians of Ancient Greece.
And only men could play the kithara!

The Greeks held the kithara in front of them, against their chest.
The musicians played a melody with their left hand, and rhythmically struck the strings with their right hand.
By the way, at first the kithara had only 4 strings. But later the number of strings in a musical instrument increased to 7.

Playing the kithara decorated holidays and celebrations in ancient Greece.

The musician played melodies on the kithara, and the singers sang poems and ballads.
They dedicated their songs to brave warriors, Olympic champions, and natural forces.

Probably, the descendants of these singers in our modern world are bards singing songs to the guitar.
It was the kithara that became the prototype of the modern guitar.

The legends of ancient Greece say that the god Apollo loved to play on the kithara!

Kithfara's music sounds very beautiful!
Listen to how the modern kitharist Giorgio Sancristoforo plays the kithara.

I, FatherEarth, am finishing my story about the ancient musical instrument kithara.
