So, I am going to be completely upfront about how I got the idea about this post. I was reading @galenkp's latest post, and I saw a quote there. It is a familiar GOT quote that I like too:

So I thought can I make a haiku out of this?

Okay, with creation out of the way, let us talk about what is that I was thinking. Well, really, it is just about the money.
The proposal, funding, DHF, project, onboarding........all these is just noise. Ultimately it boils down to money. So Khal's Leo proposal got de-funded again, and he is again running around and spreading lies. Boy! That guy can talk! I will give him that.
In the sub-continent, we call these people "hawkers"
It is a name for the street vendors in the sub-continent. If you have been to India or Bangladesh or Pakistan (my home countries by the way, yes plural!), then you can't miss the hawkers

Funny that they have proliferated all over the world. Recently I was in Rome, and I was pushed into buying sunglasses! Damn it! I do not need sunglasses. Who cares? Finally, I will just pay 20 euros or whatever, just to get rid of the person from my face.

Ok, I will do some publicity for Khal and Leo. Mind you there is no such things called bad publicity, it is only publicity.

First of all, there are four bullets, INLEO four times! That dude must have a degree in marketing! Damn! Here is my argument against those bullets:
Is inleo the #1 onboarder in "new accounts" hive? Maybe? I have asked @elmerlin to provide me with some data, we will see! But do I care? No. I do not want accounts, I want users. I have 13K account creation tokens, I can make 13K accounts for me, you guys don’t have to pay me anything!
Microblogging to hive? Really? I will say INLEO brought extensive spam in the form of microblogging to hive. Yes, 35%? Why not? Even higher. All AI and SPAM. Do I care? No. I don't want spam.
Onboarding of Dash community? Here is what I say to that.
If you tell them post in Leo and earn Dash, what you are proposing is as follows:
They post -> Earn Hive -> Sell Hive -> Earn X
(X is whatever coin)
Finally, What technology inleo is building?

Do you remember any more trash? I don't want to remember, because I want to enjoy my evening.
Guys, I am telling you it is just all about the money. Leo have no earning, and no runway. They do not have any revenue model. They want to loot your money in the form of DHF by telling you lies and hawking. This is the fundamental basis of their finances. Support them or not support them is upto you, as it is your money. You decide how you like to waste it.
Wake me up when they get funded back again.
PS. Elsewhere Khal says that he invested in hive?
We paid him upward of 100K hive as rewards, he sold most of it, and holds only 9705 hive!

I have said, perhaps too many times, that Khal doesn't know what the heck he's doing. I've pointed it out before and while I'm just a lil fish over here, I'm also a professional developer and a former QA. On some things, I can speak with authority, and in the case of InLeo it's been an utter dumpster-fire since its inception.
They were "live" for months before they could even get their home page to reliably return posts, all while screaming about how great what they were building is.
If the core functionality you're building doesn't work reliably, you're just promoting blind hype. If you don't understand why the dumb stuff you're copying straight from web2 look-alikes works the way it does, you shouldn't be making it.
They've had a "following" tab since inception that doesn't actually work. A reasonable person would look at a Following tab and go "oh that's the folks I follow!" but click it on their UI and you'll find plenty of folks you don't follow there. Best I can tell it's either a copy of the home tab (completely unfiltered) OR it's limiting to your subscribed communities - but in either case it's poor UX. These are minor things I'm pointing out but you know who wouldn't make this kind of dumb mistake? Someone who knew what the heck they were DOING.
Khal is a startup-energy tech-bro hype-man, making flashy nonsense filled with generated bs and calling it a success.
The best thing the Leo team has ever made is HiveStats. It's the only app that works 100% of the time and it's a fantastic design.
Everything else has been either explosive failure or just kind of dropped into the background. When was the last time they did anything with leodex? A platform that could actually drip some income into their pockets and yet you look at online stats and the estimated traffic is like 43 people in the last 3 months. TribalDex stats by HiveEngine on the other hand are like 134k. Now, of course, those web stat sites aren't perfect but still. Paints a picture, don't it?

I'll try to set aside some time to compile this into an actual post. Some of it will be a rehash of my prior post on it, but there's certainly more I could say. I'll see if I can sneak some time in over my lunch break to get a post out.

What I meant was to pay for something that already has brought value for the community. Most proposals today are promises, the community pays for something that might be a complete waste.
If you can demonstrate value.
How do you do that? It takes time and a benchmark.
Did you bring 10 users who is positively contrubuting and each hold 1000 hive staked?
I made up the numbers, but that is measurable value.
we do onboard users with that in mind, educating users. But you know it's hard to control what each person does on chain, I can only talk for myself.
the project is not mine, I'm just a contributor, and I just wanted to show you the other side, where we can make something cool without funding.
we are not asking for funding, at least not yet ;)
but you have to agree that the first step is to have real users, then we can try to educate them to stake more.
we are gamifying the profiles on our frontend and you get a lot of points for staking hive. this is a way to incentivize this positive contribution. but there is never a guarantee...

I remember once in a X live that a big account from inleo said that we need numbers and no quality… in that moment he was mentioning about posts … mostly saying that spam is part of a social network something like that! And now the same group brought the same topic over the accounts… maybe in their minds having million of robots is better than 100 real users having a good engagement and content.
If we want robots why not keep talking to an AI bot instead losing time here ? I know that this case was merely to get funds for spending more it wasn’t about ideology of bots being better than humans !

When I first saw inLeo Splinterlands collaboration I got excited, it sounded good that you can earn SPS tokens for posting via inleo front end. Then I looked into it and it looked to me that it is simply like you said above: Earn Hive -> Sell Hive -> Buy SPS.
Am I missing something? I could do that myself on hive-engine. What is the benefit, convenience? Needless to say I don't use it.
They said it also gives SPS token extra utility,

If you sell everything that you earn from hive, how is that benefiting hive stakeholders ? Why I want to reward people who writes "I got this many reward card at end of season"! How is that valuable? That is shitposting to abuse reward pool and worthy of a DV.
At least for hive we can argue that money stays in the same ecosystem. It's less than ideal but perhaps not a total disaster.
If it is Dash then the money is leaving the ecosystem completely. It is net negative.
