Fresh dawn, fresh day and a lovely cool morning here in Durban, rain has been steady and not too heavy bringing temperature down, it's a beautiful day!
Good morning form Roodepoort! Its been almost constant rain through the night and the early hours of the morning over here. Kind of stopped at the moment makes me decide rushing to Flora Centre for something to cook...

Rains have been most welcome, overnight approx 40mm still raining outdoors, nice light rain for walking in.

Spinach and gizzard a lovely meal, not sure about pap which I don't make often, prefer samp!
I haven't had samp in years it is nice when well prepared.
Samp reminds me off the days when I was new in SA worked as a gardener, the maid would prepare samp which was always watery I never liked it, I would just throw it away.
Samp well prepared with chakalaka vegetables, gizzards, chicken breast makes an all round good meal.
Soak and rinse samp thoroughly for about an hour before cooking, cook samp with gizzards and chicken breast slowly till thickens, last add tin of chakalaka when you don't have time to add fresh vegetables!
