Hello to everyone in the Hive Pets community! Today I bring you a new article dedicated to my little dogs, Brandy and Mia, who a few days ago got their new walking leashes. I had been wanting to get a good pair of doggie pads that were resistant, of the right size and that could hold their bodies well. Here I tell you a little about it.
Brandy and Mia are two Pincher mixes and they tend to be very naughty. Brandy who is the oldest (almost 8 years old) is a little calmer but I have had a recurring problem with them: they tend to break all their leashes. Brandy and Mia have had about four or five sets of leashes to date and they have all ended up destroyed. It is not because of the struggle but because they bite the ropes and the leashes when they are within their reach or when we are about to go out and they nibble on everything out of excitement.
¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Hive Pets! El día de hoy les traigo un nuevo artículo dedicado a mis perritas, Brandy y Mía, quienes hace unos días estrenaron sus nuevas pecheras para pasear. Y es que tenía tiempo queriendo conseguir unas buenas pecheras que fueran resistentes, del tamaño adecuado y que pudieran sostener bien sus cuerpos. Aquí les cuento un poco sobre ello.
Brandy y Mía son dos perritas mestizas de Pincher y ellas suelen ser muy traviesas. Brandy que es la mayor (casi unos 8 años) es un poco más calmada pero igual he tenido un problema recurrente con ellas: suelen romper todas sus correas. Brandy y Mía han tenido hasta la fecha unos cuatro o cinco juegos de correas para pasear y todas han acabado destruidas. No es por el forcejeo sino porque muerden las cuerdas y las pecheras cuando estás quedan a su alcance o cuando estamos a punto de salir y ellas por la emoción, mordisquean todo.
To take some precautionary measures not only because they could end up in a hospital for eating pieces of fabric, we decided that they would wear metal leashes. The first to try this alternative was Brandy, where she used a cloth breastplate and a metal leash. And it worked at least with the leash because it was impossible for her to break it, but in an oversight, Brandy ended up breaking her breastplate. So the metal strap doesn't work by itself. I also noticed that the leash was a little rough and sometimes when I took Mia at the same time as Brandy, they used to get hurt by the wobble of the leash or when they saw a puppy, the leash would hit my legs or Brandy's during the struggle.
So we decided to stick with the cloth leashes and finally, here in Puerto Ordaz I found some good leashes for them. I found them in Makro Centro in a variety store where I also found kernels at a very good price and dog toys. So, I bought two new doggy shirts for Brandy and Mía and a toy for them. When I got home I couldn't have been more excited to put them on and honestly they looked beautiful but more importantly, Brandy looked more comfortable because her chest area is padded in the chest area. But I regret not buying one just like it for Mia, as I thought one like Brandy's would be too big.
Para tomar algunas medidas de precaución no solo porque podían terminar en un hospital por comerse pedazos de tela, decidimos que llevarían entonces unas correas de metal. La primera en probar está alternativa fue Brandy, dónde utilizó una pechera de tela y una correa de metal. Y funcionó por lo menos con la correa pues era imposible que pudiera romperla pero en un descuido, Brandy terminó por romper su pechera. Así que la correa de metal no funciona por si sola. También note que la correa era un poco rústica y a veces cuando tomaba a Mía al mismo tiempo que Brandy, se solían lastimar por el tambaleo de la correa o cuando veían un perrito, la correa golpeaba mis piernas o las de Brandy durante el forcejeo.
Así que decidimos que seguiríamos con las cuerdas de tela y por fin, aquí en Puerto Ordaz encontré unas buenas pecheras para ellas. Estas las encontré en Makro Centro en un local de variedades dónde también encontré kernels a muy bien precio y jueguetes para perros. Así que comprados dos pecheras nuevas para Brandy y Mía y un juguete para ellas. Al llegar a casa no podía estar más emocionada por ponerle las pecheras y sinceramente se veían preciosas pero lo más importante, brandy se veía más cómoda pues la pechera de ella es acolchonada en la zona del pecho. Pero lamento no haber comprado una igual para Mía, pues pensé que una cómo la de Brandy resultaba enorme.
Mia's breastplate fits snug but I feel it doesn't fit as well as it should but it does the job. On the walks we have had I have seen them well, although they still try to nibble but now I hide their breastplates so they can't take them again and damage them. Next time I will look for a breastplate just like Brandy's but much smaller as I would like Mia to have one just like it. If anyone knows a good pet store in Venezuela where I can find better breastplates, you can write me here in a comment. I would appreciate it very much. La pechera de Mía queda justa pero siento que no queda tan bien como debería pero cumple su función. En los paseos que hemos tenido las he visto bien, aunque aún tratan de mordisquear pero eso si, ahora escondo sus pecheras para que no puedan volver a tomarlas y dañarlas. En una próxima oportunidad buscaré una pechera igual a la de Brandy pero mucho más pequeña pues me gustaría que Mía tuviera una igual. Me encantan esos perros pequeños que tienen los ojos saltones, me parecen graciosos. Estas están muy lindas, qué bueno que conseguiste esas correas.

Creo que este es uno de los accesorio que mas se le compra a un perro, sobre todo cuando son tan traviesos jeje. Es difícil encontrar un material lo suficientemente resistente y que no les haga daño, porque claro que hay opciones pero nada que les de comodidad como debe ser. Me alegra que hayas encontrado uno que funcione y ojala puedas encontrar la otra para Mía.
