I am very sorry for what happened, I believe that you are not at all to blame for this situation, your proposal was more than valid, they were getting to know a place, and you just wanted to have a better view, and I think that anyone would like to do the same.
What happened was surely destined to happen, who could have imagined that running down a mountain would end in an injury like that, luckily it was just that, a small injury that ended with a wound cleaning and painkiller.
I loved that they met this exceptional guide and companion, who made them endure until the end of the road.
You also learn from bad experiences, now you have a first aid kit available in your backpack.
