Hello to all my friends who love those beloved beings that we call pets, which are nothing more than another member of the family and so we love and consider them.

I would like to tell you about a wonderful experience I had a few weeks ago when I had the opportunity to travel to San Felipe/Yaracuy State Venezuela.
I was spending a few days in a farm of my daughter's father-in-law.

Saturday afternoon I wanted to go with my grandchildren to the place where they have the cows and calves and take some pictures, going down, on my way to that place I stumbled upon two parrot chicks, at first I was very scared and even screamed, I was too impressed to see those two little chicks almost dead.

I stopped to look at them and was rather moved to see the state they were in, but I was afraid to grab them. I went back to the house and called my daughter to tell her, she immediately wanted to see it and we went down again. Those two chicks were still dying and with a lost look as if asking for help.

My daughter, who loves all animals, wrapped them in a towel and took them to the house, where she fed them with an injector, first she gave them water and then she gave them porridge of bread flour dough mixed with warm water, everything was passed to them with the injector and after a few hours the chicks were more lively.

Jajaja.

They got them a comfortable cage for the night and during the day they had them walking around the farm as if they were puppies. Hahaha.

There was a hullabaloo in the house, everyone present was thrilled with this pair of cuties that fell as if from the sky. My daughter's sister-in-law fell in love with them as much as the other members of the family.

Already in their cage a few days later they were eating on their own and looked much better.
After 8 days they were well recovered and even the children were playing with them.

I came back to my house and they tell me that they are already big and beautiful parakeets, everyone in that farm is very happy to have them there, we all feel very happy to have found them and to have saved them, we were waiting for the mother of those little ones to appear, but so far she has not appeared, but they do not lack food every day and lots of love. I think they were very lucky to fall into the hands of good people who love and respect all animals.

What beautiful parrot chicks. Thank God you found them

Me encanto tu publicación.

What a beautiful story and more than that, what a wonderful family you have there that can appreciate nature enough to help it grow rather than destroy it.

I am so glad that you have raised your children to appreciate nature and I am so happy that your family rescued them and nursed them back to health and what a difference it made too!

They look so much healthier now. Thank you.

I too have a Parrot. She is an Indian Ring Neck and rescued from an abusive owner for about 15years.

I now have her and have nursed her back to health and am loving her with every breath I take, to take the trauma away from her little heart and soul and she deserves so much love.

It is a priviledge to have such a tiny creature- any animal, trust you the way she places her trust in me.

Tell you daughter that rust (in that cage)is very bad for birds because they chew it and it is toxic to them- Aswell as Avocado and Peace Lillies.

Birds are very sensitive creatures and can get sick easily and die very suddenly, so you have to do the research to know how to look after them properly and unfortunately most people don't.

I look at my birds poo every morning and weigh her every week, because changes in poo and weight loss are the first indicators of illness- especially Psittacosis and Beak and feather disease and unfortunately most birds in the wild have one of the other and they are both contagious to other birds- even if your bird is not showing symptoms, they may be carriers.

Anyway, I'm sure that your daughter is intelligent enough to do the research so she knows how to care for those 2 gorgeous darlings so they all live a happy and healthy life.

And Indy Jean and I send our love and gratitude to you all from Australia! ❤️

Hi @chocolatescorpi , what a beautiful parrot you have, God bless him and you for that act of love towards him. Thank you very much for your words and your good advice. I already send them to my daughter to be very attentive, I did not know about the cage. Be sure that we will investigate a lot so that those adorable parakeets have a healthy life with lots of love, although I tell you that the cage is only to sleep and protect them from other animals, they are usually walking around the house as if they were puppies, hahaha. Have a wonderful day 😘💕

Thats great that they are not in the cage too much.

I don't put Mine in the cage much either- unless I'm at work but I don't even bother closing the door now anyway.

Indy spent 15 years locked up in a cage with no love and no escape and the only attention that she got was very bad attention......

Indy can't fly (too many broken wings from her previous owner) and she can walk, but she prefers to hitchhike everywhere on my shoulder...

So happy that yours will be cherished furever!
