It's funny to see you writing that while having Laissez Faire || Libertarian || Free-Market Capitalist in your profile. You are against self-voting? Do you have any idea why that's bad given how Hive ecosystem works? You are using some really twisted logic here. Why should I not vote for my own post? Originally auto self vote was turned on by default.

Reward shares that are allocated with my vote are that high, because I've never powered down.

Hopefully when you received $41 upvote last week you were happy enough to balance those sad feelings somehow ;-)

Thanks for everything you've done for this blockchain, I was just expressing my opinion about self voting.. and the "Build-a-whale" account voting for content created by whales.

But yea I would assume that a whale dosnt realize how big it is, or that it's even a whale.

Idk their voting pattern, but I don't think it's ever supposed to be voting on just small accounts.

@gtg this is my discord id - summisimeon#7097 i just need help from u regarding recovering my hive account which is @summisimeon.it was hacked and i contacted many ppl in steem and hive.as you are one of the top witness may be i get some help from u.my account was hacked on 10th october.so its only 2 days left to me.

So kindly look at my problem.
With regards.

Your recovery account is set to 'steem' so there's no way I could help you.
(Otherwise you could ask owner of such account to verify that you is you which would let you to provide your old owner key to recover account by setting new one)

Yeah i have all my older keys with me.i don't know who is owner of that "steem" account or who is controlling that account.the biggest mistake was i didn't changed my recovery account to any other.even if i get posting and active key its okay for me.

Steemit Inc. / Steemit Ltd. is the owner, but I don't think they are using recoveries even on their own platform.

I was happy, and I have never/will never self vote. But yea Laissez Faire you do you. Grats on never powering down.

But why? It's really nothing wrong. As I wrote many times before, if one doesn't think he deserves an upvote (including his own), they shouldn't publish it on Hive in the first place because that would be just a waste of resources.
Imagine an author. Lets call her alice.
Alice creates good content (at least from her perspective, see above, others obviously can disagree).
Alice have 100HP.
There's also charlie.
Charlie creates good content (at least from his perspective, you know the drill).
alice votes for charlie's content.
charlie votes for alice's content.
Thing is that Charlie DGAF about Hive Power and constantly powers down, sells HIVE, buys Alpacas.
Alice rarely powers down, usually powers up. Alice has a lot more HP than Charlie.
It means that Alice has a lot more to say on author rewards allocation.
Yet, Charlie earns a lot of author rewards, Alice does not.

Now, how would you explain to Alice that's cool to be an author on Hive that powers up?

It's their stake.. they can do whatever they want with it.

I don't believe the "Build-a-whale" account is "Someone's Stake" is that not a curation account powered up by the community and ment to "Build a Whale" out of someone who is not already a whale..?

Someone funded that account, who cares if it was a whale or not. So unless it has part of the ninja mine like with @misterdelegation I don't see how its any different than someone just buying Steem or Hive at market prices. They just bought alot of it. Or maybe they indeed mined it in 2016, which if they did its completely theirs.. Just like people that mined BTC is theirs too.

Yupp.. that's absolutely true.

Like I said: Just cos you can (self vote) dosnt mean you should.
And it is sad that others with a large stake have also voted for this selfish self-voting person.

Let me ask you SOLO... do you self vote?

Yes, you should upvote your own posts. It will help bring more attention to them. And the majority of the here community has agreed that upvoting your own posts is completely fine. Now if you start upvoting all your comments then that is frowned upon.

Those with large stakes took a huge risk buying such a volatile asset, if they want to upvote their own posts I think they deserve to.

I do upvote my own posts.. but you could have seen that just looking at my blog.

I won't be doing any self voting. And I would assume that the people who do self vote, would agree that it is an OK practice.. I don't see the people who I support, doing self voting, if/when I do is when I cease to support them with my vote.
