Hi Hive Friends :) Good Afternoon, today i came here to tell you a little about me, who i am, what I like, and all my goals of life, I hope we can be friends and share good moments togheter, a big hug from the distance <3
well... Let´s start from the begining!
My name is Andrea Peña, (Yeah with that Ñ hahah) I am 23 years old, Im from Venezuela, a country located in Latin America that has given a lot to talk about haha. specifically from San Cristóbal, Tachira state, a beautiful place characterized by its mountains and its quite cold climate (for a Caribbean country lol, I feel it is an offense to say it for all those who live in countries that reach low temperatures, the maximum in my state it's 10/12 ° c, which i love because cold lover hahah)
This is a photo I took a while ago, on a trip I made to a well-known town in my state, called La grita
who is Andrea in the academic and labor field?
Well ... there is a lot of story to tell in this area of my life haha, let's start with the 16-year-old Andrea, graduating from High School, it was a very beautiful season of my life that if it were in my hands I would repeat it again, it was a very good student, surrounded by many people who made my way much more enjoyable, it didn't take long to realize my academic likes and hates, from the years of lower studies I showed a lot of interest in the field of health, I loved the laboratory practices where I could spend hours observing through microscopes different histological sections
In the school practices I always stood out, and it didn't take long to tell my parents what I wanted for my future, on the other hand, it was always quite difficult for me to understand the numbers (lol I'm ashamed but it's true), so I knew what that I did not want for my future haha, and that is how my high school years passed, until I reached the desired moment of graduating from school

my family was very proud of me, by then my brother was already studying away from our home in his university life ... guess what he was studying? .... MEDICINE, was fate confirming my plans? hahah
vSeeing all these photos touch my heart I think we are not used to seeing everything we have achieved and praising our own merits, because at the end of the day it is what we work for every day, in case no one has told you, I am As proud of you as I am of myself, we are doing it ok? <3
But at the moment not everything was happiness for me ... Oh no, I remember so much the stress and frustration that I felt at that time, I have always been a person very anxious about his future and who likes to have everything under control, in the 2014, I was just a 17-year-old teenager, full of many desires and so many goals to fulfill, with one that motivated me to keep going but that at that time I saw a bit difficult to achieve ... the 17-year-old Andrea Peña He wanted to be a doctor, he wanted to exploit all that potential that he had discovered from his practices in the laboratory, he wanted to feel that feeling that many spoke of being able to help people to live a full life, better, to help them calm different illnesses that afflict women persons. he wanted to feel the adrenaline rush in his veins as he saved lives. Unfortunately, my local university was going through a difficult time where new entrants had to wait a long time to finally study. And that took me a bit away from my dreams ... until my parents decided to support me and send me to the same university where my brother was studying medicine, the same one that was more than 14 hours by car from my house. And that's where my adventure began, this one in which I still find myself fighting for my dream, to become a Doctor...
2015, Paraguaná Peninsula, Falcón State, Venezuela
Yep, I took two suitcases, a hug from my mom and my dad, and I went, at the age of 17 to fight for my dream, to a place that was TOTALLY DIFFERENT FROM MY HOME CITY, (Do you remember I told you that I loved the cold? lol, I moved to a peninsula where the temperatures were sometimes so high that it was almost inhumane to walk the streets in the evenings)
but I must accept that they are the most beautiful sunsets that I have been able to observe in my life, my university life was the BEST, always grateful to my parents and to all those who were involved in my dream.

Step by Step I was becoming what I most wanted, the mere fact of putting on my white coat and going to classes at the hospital filled me in such a way that it confirmed the good decision I had made for the future of my life. Of course, none of this would have happened without being accompanied by incredible people who shared the same dream as me. (Here is a photo of HORRIBLE QUALITY, from our first medical practice in the local hospital, baby steps haha)
I had a lot of setbacks in the races, I cried, I laughed, I wanted to quit and go back home, I missed very important dates, but despite everything I kept going, and I'm still here, less than a year away from becoming what I most desire < 3
(I also enjoyed a lot haha I had to take advantage of the fact that I lived 15 minutes from the beach, unfortunately many of those photos were deleted, I only have one that I use as a background for a long time lol I felt a professional photograph taking it hahah)
Back home, starting the second phase of my career, The Medical Practices at the Central Hospital.
After almost 5 years of studies, the longed-for time came to return to my home, now a little more adult, with a little more knowledge in Medicine and with the same if not more illusions than when I left 17 years <3
the place where I am happy every day that I go, where every day I finish preparing much more, the place that has seen me grow as a doctor, has given me the opportunity to do so many procedures that have made me fall in love a little more with my career. discovering my passion in medicine, the surgical field, I was born to operate, be in the operating room, address cavities, suture.

(I would like to know if you would like me to tell you a little more about my path in the different clinics of the hospital, I would love to teach you so many things)
and at work?
I have always wanted to be very independent despite the fact that my parents have given me everything that has been in their hands for my future, currently due to my career I am unable to work, a couple of years ago when I had not yet entered the hospital to to do my internship, I used to work in a Spanish academy, in which I taught Spanish to English-speaking people. Unfortunately this work did not last long, and as a result of this, currently I sometimes work as a freelance translator, since languages are another of my passions (I can speak Spanish as my mother tongue, intermediate level English, and Italian)

Here we were filming a commercial to promote a new Spanish initiation program.
At the moment I would like to generate some type of economic income because I have many material dreams to fulfill and achieve <3 I hope to be able to achieve them soon.
and ... in your free time?
Well, I am passionate about cooking, I also love to cook especially sweet foods, despite not having any academic support I like to take recipes that go viral and recreate them in my own way.
Venezuelan quesillo, one of my favorite recipes, I hope to show it to you soon :)
I also love knitting! A passion that my mother inherited from me and that despite not doing it very often, it is a hobby that de-stresses me and that I like to teach it.
Anyway, I think it is a great summary of my life, I am currently still in my medical practices, a couple of months away from being able to become what I dreamed of and for which I have fought. be a doctor I hope you liked knowing a little more about me, and I hope to make friends here in hive!
