Awesomeness! I'd give this a double upvote if I could... but congratulations on just being yourself! The most beautiful thing anyone can be is truly themselves and comfortable in their own skin. And you are beautiful... precisely because you don't come across as artificially trying to "be something."
I never liked "plastic people," and have tried my best to not be a plastic people, and to not worry about "hot" trends.
I've always wondered what it would feel like just to be healthy, not be labeled this or that by people who make money from suffering.
Thank you @denmarkguy, everyone is unique, we all bring unique gifts with us, I wish we were allowed to express our talents and be ourselves. But this is frowned on and becoming dangerous with the cult of politics and the Gods of Media. If being myself goes out of the box, politically incorrect, not spouting the trendy agendas, I could be labeled mentally ill or even worse, go to a political or unpopular protest and be brutalized by trendies.
This world is getting really, really boring, I'm starting to loath trends and trendies.
I hear you... that's part of what scares me most about our world; this seeming "narrowing" of what is perceived as "normal." And so, if we're not "normal" we feel pressure to comform... except the range we're expected to fit into gets smaller and smaller. And then we need treatment and medication... which kills uniqueness and creativity.
You paraphrased one of my favorite Krishnamurti quotes: "It is no measure of health to be well adjusted to a profoundly sick society." Indeed.
We have to "vote" with our authentic selves... step away from the trends and trendies; and not let ourselves be bullied by them... instead, we must hold up "mirrors" for them so they can see the fake reflections they are adopting.
You said this so well, I agree and didn't know Krishnamurti came to the same conclusion ...druging us and putting us in prison is a true sign of insanity.
